Fallout 4 does sandbox stuff better than Starfield does. Workshop is leagues better so the looting and shooting gameplay loop feels much better. Fallout’s world is also a lot more interesting. Even if it exists as just a shooting gallery, those galleries in Fallout 4 were at least unique.
After playing cyberpunk (started after the final completed updates) Bethesda games feel so out of dated and I don’t just mean graphically. Even Skyrim which I loved I felt was using an outdated game engine

Ya 100% what you said. The issue with this game is that it's too big and too unpolished. I know most of us modded the hell out of Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 4, but when I have to throw 5 UI mods at a game just to make it playable, it's sort of a flop. I know they used some copy/paste and procedural generation on the games I listed above, but there were still handcrafted experiences everywhere. I felt like a lot of the Starfield that I Did see what just cobbled together stuff that resembles a game as opposed to having any character at all. It honestly felt like a bad clone of Outer Worlds by Obsidian. Think Two Worlds vs. Oblivion or Skyrim.

So many people just parrot the opinions of those UA-camrs who only follow the trend. These youtubers just satisfy the confirmation bias of their viewers, which nets an upvote and engagement with the videos of said youtubers. Moneywise it surely is a smart idea to do that, but it's dishonest. The dishonesty is very blatant among even those who make long negative videos about the game. So many features are left out, so many cool things are not even mentioned in those reviews. They only talk about some obvious things that are seen pretty early on and interpret them in a biased and negative way. There's no balance in these "reviews". Fact is, that a significant majority like the game. Here's proof: 61% of reviews on Steam are positive. Which means 0.61-0.39 = 22% more people think the game is good rather than bad. Let's talk some real numbers. There are about ~100k reviews on steam at the moment, which means there are ~22'000 players more who rate the game good rather than bad. If we take another perspective we could also say that those 22% are 0.22/0.39 = ~56% the size of all people who have rated the game negatively. Or in other words, only those people who make the difference in the rating, are more than half the amount of all the bad reviewers together. Another fact: This game had the best launch Bethesda ever had. It's a complete success no matter how much people try to jump on the hate train. Clearly, if you think the game is bad. You are part of a loud minority at this point.

With Starfield Bethesda knew it will be more controversial, because it's so different in many ways from their other titles. I think Todd has already said that they take that risk in an interview 2018 or so. But that's also a chance for Bethesda to acquire different types of gamers, so they can grow their business in the long run. The launch was the most successful, so I think Bethesda will make sure they can leverage that to establish this new IP.

Bruh. This game feels empty. And i get that some people say: Well REAL space is also empty, and 99% of planets are uninhabited. But this game is not trying to be realistic. First, you got some magic bullshit so fck "realism" excuse. Second: Just because something is realistic, doesn't mean it's good for gameplay. Starfield is empty af. If some planet have aliens, it has like ONE or two different species, and that's it. How the hell ecosystems works in starfield? This game does not reward exploration, because each planet is exactly the same, with exactly the same textures but in different shades.

You expected them to make 1000 explorable planets, no borders, dozen + kinds of fauna on each, have plenty of cities and structures, and and the coup de grace: none of them were to be repetitive. It would be better if planets were borderless, but we know that shitty ass engine can't handle such things, and we expected loading screens. But we did not expect FIVE different loading screens just to get from point A to point B, or even when using elevator. We did not expect how repetetive planets will look. They use exact same textures in every single planet, but with different shades being set by the game, so you can see the same pattern on the ground in every planet but in different colours. We didn't expect alien life forms to be so artificial. Like what the hell, Morrowind had better ecosystem. Never expected them to make 1000 planets, but damn, only 3-4 are different, rest of them are the same but randomly generated. If they made a space game where everything is exaclty the same every planet you go to. And even worse, when you visit back the planet you've been already to, it will generate new mesh and the place you saw will look different, and this fucks up immersion even further. But all this i could forgive if visuals were good. But dear god, graphic looks stright out of 2015, with some exceptions like 4k models of aliens and items... But then you walk in cities that have HORRIBLE lighting, NPCs have ugly faces, tree quality is worse than in skyrim, and shadow is all wrong. This game have 0 consistency with graphic. Some things are in 4k, and others are 720p, and you can walk for a 10 seconds and find 5 different levels of graphic design.

lol best of the decade when the competition is Fo4 and 76. Like... damn man, that's just really putting into perspective how bad Bethesda is these days. Every game they've put out since Morrowind has been *a little* bit more simplified. A little more lacking. Oblivion got rid of spell crafting, simplified skills (some admittedly for the better) and reduced your total available weapon types. Skyrim simplified alchemy from Oblivion, further simplified skills, and reduced available weapon types again. And while the feel of the basic gameplay loop was often improved, it was at the cost of depth everywhere else in the games. Same thing in the Fallout series. Hell, 4 conflated perks, skill points and stats all into the same system. That's fully 3 systems being simplified into 1, with much less build variety as a result.

The game sucks to most people. The only person that has a problem thinking critically is you. Liking a game is a subjective thing and you can't think critically enough to understand this which is really really sad. The second thing that you don't understand is that people's general subjective opinion is that the game is not good and you being the exception to that rule doesn't mean everybody else is crazy, it just means you like a game that everybody else thinks is not that great. the game is fallout 4 in space but without the fallout good lore and no worldmap, its extremely repettive and the main story is boring, the combat sucks because every enemy is a bulletsponge just like fallout 4 with legendary enemies, bethesda is lazy, they learned nothing from new vegas and made flallout 4, starfield is an even lazier version of fallout 4 that doesnt even have a worldmap, which is why the bethesda fans couldnt defend it, because this is what everyone liked in their games. The entire game is a grindfest like no mans sky and its borring, having a story instead of not having one is barely and improvement. Ever tried playing Survival Mode in Fallout 4. The enemies are NOT bulletsponges. With the roght weapons and perks you can one tap ANY enemy any you don't need a Fat Man for that. In fact a combat knife is already enough. Now try one tapping the Legendary Bloatfly in New Vegas. WITH. A. FUCKING. COMBAT. KNIFE. Talk about bulletsponges...

Starfield was dead practically after launch if you like the game thats cool but dont try and convince anyone or yourself that its bethesda best game. That would be skyrim and for more then just being a fan of the game. Remade almost 10 times rereleased over the last decade over and over again and multiple sources that still call it one of the best selling games of all time. Thank you for this video. I feel like I have been looking for a take that isn't braindead sense launch. This games reception has me losing faith in people, and their ability to think critically for themselves.
It's no problem. That drives me crazy. People love the drama, and if there's a game they dislike, they'll go out of their way to push their beliefs on other people in the gamer space
The game sucks to most people. The only person that has a problem thinking critically is you. Liking a game is a subjective thing and you can't think critically enough to understand this which is really really sad. The second thing that you don't understand is that people's general subjective opinion is that the game is not good and you being the exception to that rule doesn't mean everybody else is crazy, it just means you like a game that everybody else thinks is not that great. It is fine you like a game others dont, but don't get that confused with other people being wrong about a subjective thing.

The reality is statistics show the game isn't as hated as UA-cam will lead you to believe. You are a part of a vocal minority in an echo chamber. 61% of people on steam have voted it positively. Which means 0.61-0.39=22% more people find the game to be good rather than bad.
So, to a significant majority the game is good.
Stop parroting youtubers and start to think for yourself. Otherwise, you are bound to fall into similar traps in the future.
the game is fallout 4 in space but without the fallout good lore and no worldmap, its extremely repettive and the main story is boring, the combat sucks because every enemy is a bulletsponge just like fallout 4 with legendary enemies, bethesda is lazy, they learned nothing from new vegas and made flallout 4, starfield is an even lazier version of fallout 4 that doesnt even have a worldmap, which is why the bethesda fans couldnt defend it, because this is what everyone liked in their games. The entire game is a grindfest like no mans sky and its borring, having a story instead of not having one is barely and improvement. Id rather play spacebourne 2 than stardfield, yeah its buggy and clunky, but its not finished yet and its made mostly by one man, but hey at least its not fallout 4 in spac.e

Ever tried playing Survival Mode in Fallout 4. The enemies are NOT bulletsponges. With the roght weapons and perks you can one tap ANY enemy any you don't need a Fat Man for that. In fact a combat knife is already enough. Now try one tapping the Legendary Bloatfly in New Vegas. WITH. A. FUCKING. COMBAT. KNIFE. Talk about bulletsponges...
You do know that there is a world map? You said it twice like its some check mate when they added amazing local maps.

You can like a game that others think is bad, it happens all the time. Stop thinking that just because you like it that it makes the game objectively good. Liking something is subjective.
@@funki4896 In fallout 4 with the right weapons and perks you can do the same. You can use a rusted pipe pistol to one tap ANY enemy. You aren't making the argument you think you are.
