Great video. I love watching these endurance sagas prior to going out and running my 5 miles :-) Gets me motivated and off the couch. P.S. the quality and professionalism of this video is incredible. Aravaipa Running has really taken this to a new level.!
Do appreciate the work it takes in getting some of the back and forth footage at the front of the pack as the lead shifts. Not that I know alot about film, but I can tell there is a lot going on behind that. Good job! Thanks again for satisfying all the content junkies out there
I am actually from Sweden myself, and before he popped up and said that I had the same thoughts as he did. Got a good laugh from the sheer surprise of it all.
Your videos are so damn good. They're the reason I'm going to find a way to fit one of your races into my calendar and fly out there. Congrats to arm swing girl!
Running is so much harder than I bet a lot of people think. It's the only sport that I know of the your body wants to curl up in a ball and your minds telling you to quit the whole time as you tell yourself to keep going. Running there is really no breaks and your going to be there for awhile....
Hi tubesockets120v, "Golden Tickets" are only for the top two male and female finishers at qualifying races. He placed third male. Thanks for the question!
Brutal conditions, respect for the runners, I'm not a mud fan. What is the soundtrack at 9:42 ? The same one which is in the first half of "MILLER VS. HAWKS | TNF Endurance Challenge 50 Miler 2016" (ua-cam.com/video/7DCR03UDggA/v-deo.html). Please tell me.
i don't get why elite can throw their garbage at check point.... is to hard to place bin and make them throw in...doesn't matter if they loose 10s to do it, it will not change the result at the end but it will show to everyone what we have to do.
I love the grit displayed in this video

Amazing job on this video!
Awesome video!! It was great to see Nicole win it like a boss. She's not only an amazing runner, but an amazing person all around.

Well done, really nice video.
Top grade sports coverage right here. I almost cried! Great job everyone, heia Sverige :)
Please leave a note on how the filming is done. It's smooth and often follows the leaders from the front or back. Amazing. Great trail too.
Great footage and editing! Getting better and better! Makes me want to race it now.
I laughed at the Swedish guys comment. Great video!

Outstanding coverage Jamil and team; thanks for your hard work in putting this together!

Congrats to arm swing girl!
Great recap of a brutal day
Super content!
Wow... Great job...
Top demais .Vlw guerreiros e guerreiras na fé. Parabéns.
dysentry is da s#it..... great video!
This is just an a amazing sport! Bravo to all the runners!
Great video! This is race story on the level of Billy Yang. Tells and shows for us who couldn't be there.
billy who???
Yang's setup got nothing on Coury's handheld gimbal and boomstick.
Gran video
Muito fera meu sonho ir em uma corrida dessa vlw guerreiros e guerreiras
Jamil! Love this style of coverage. I like to know what happened at a race soon after it happened. Thanks for the video :)
What an amazing run! Jim will win UTMB this year. 2018 will be the year of Walmsley :)
Nope, he didn't... :)
Inspiring
this is awesome.
Great job everyone! What a gnarly race.

JamJam... you be rockin' it!!!! Nicely done!! Way to go Alex!! Woo Hoo!!!! Local boy does good! :) (what shoes was he wearing??)
100K is one thing but I don't think I would want to do it in mud the entire time.
Wait, I'm new to this, are you telling my that they've been running for around 8 hours??
+Robert Sterling Correct. The winners were just under 8 hours, but there is a 20 hour cutoff for the 100K distance.
fan va grym han är elov
Clare Gallagher, the second place finisher here, went on to win Western States in 2019 in the second fastest time in course history.
Elov cute as always
The distance is one thing. But the speed of running completely blows my mind. Doing 100k in under 8 hours has to be brutal.
Question: how can these runners go so long without eating or drinking much? I need like 3 bars and a huge bladder to do a 15-miler.
1:43 😂
Fantastic video. Anyone know how he gets the shots following the runners? Steadicam, or drone?
Hi Michael Reid,
We used a combination of a camera, gimbal, and drone for this video. Thanks for the question!
Don't now about anyone else here but I'd much prefer this to the heat. Also, it didn't look like there was any wind out there.
Badass looking race. Is there weather generally warmer and dry? Last time I visited AZ was during mid-February
+Danny Pimienta typically yes
Which model Altra are the top 3 men wearing?!
Hi Didoma73-
The top three men were wearing Scott shoes. Thanks for the question!
👟🏃🤗✌💖
nice video but it missed ALL THE REALLY MUDDY PARTS!
Looks like an average day in Portland :)
Why did Eric miss Golden ticket?
Hi tubesockets120v,
"Golden Tickets" are only for the top two male and female finishers at qualifying races. He placed third male. Thanks for the question!
This doesn't quite capture the true essence of the mud on that first/last segment of trail!
I'm still wondering...

how unsatisfying it is when you run into the goal and so has no mood arises because no one is there, even in first place.
Great video
