I have been doing professional nails for 30 years and I just realized I've been drawing candy canes incorrectly this whole time! You really impress me with the way you have technique using your brush and you never overload it.
Toothpick works too if you don't have brushes or a dotting tool ! Oh beautiful Christmas designs! Thanks for sharing I can't really tell you which is my favorite I love them all but a set maybe a different Christmas bulbs would be cool?

I googled “Christmas pudding” and it looks like the Christmas fruit cake we have here in the US. It is also terribly disgusting! 🤮 In my entire life, I’ve never seen anyone actually eat fruit cake yet, it is everywhere during the holidays. I wonder if both are different versions of the same thing...or if fruit cake originated from Christmas pudding. Hmm, now I’m curious! 🤔
You both made me curious, too. LOL! So I Googled its origin, too, to learn more. Briefly: it seems both our "cake" and your pudding started with the Romans. Oats, rasins, nuts, dried meat and fruit...all preserved in alcohol and compressed into bars. They took these "energy bars" on campaigns for calories and, well, energy. 🤷🏼♀️ Flash forward a thousand years or so... Britain has changed the recipe; dropped the meat, added more fruit and turned it into a porridge, then later, a pudding (thickened up a bit). The Victorians would "thank" Christmas carolers with this "figgy pudding" and that's how it became associated with Christmas. The US owes our Christmas fruit cake to our British settlers. HOWEVER, thank the good Lord for our German and Italian settlers who had tweaked the Roman recipe over the years into "fruit stollen", "panforte" and "panettone". No doubt the British settlers were looking at the neighbors' fruity cakes and asked themselves, "Why in bloody hell do we do this to ourselves every year?!" So, our fruit cake became a conglomeration of the British, German and Italian recipes. Sadly, the "American" version isn't much better than the British one. Traditionally, it's douse repeatedly and soaked in brandy for months leading up to the big day 🤢 We don't set it on fire, because, frankly, it would turn into a pile of ashes. 💣🔥

Unfortunately I’m in the valley, it gets super hot (100’s) in the summer, and pretty cold in winter. Today was 55. CA overall is expensive, they tax the crap out of everything and living expenses are high. A lot of regulations on cars too.

There so beautiful jo just show’s what u can do with your hands 🙌 if u have the stuff unlike me 😂 although I very much doubt mine would turn out like your nails but talking of Christmas pud u brought back a memory when I was a wee kid well little human not a baby goat 😂 my family put a coin in but I never new about this at the time and yes I found it alright it almost blinking killed me see I chocked on it and can always remember me on the floor with a coin jammed in my throat and everyone panicking trying to bang it out and shoving fingers down me throat so never got to keep down the Christmas dinner in the end coin come flying out on a plus side I got to keep the coin with lots more added for lots of mixups and they never put coins in again after that so I kind of fucked up that tradition opps but I do still like pudding I’m just very watchful now he he anyway love’s ya and could really do with a friend like u in my life xxxx

Thank you! The bauble is my favourite! Yes you could certainly do that. You could sprinkle on to white gel, or better still, a no wipe top coat; maybe do the pattern in white and then, once cured, go over it with no wipe top and sprinkle glitter before curing. Best with a very fine glitter so you don't lose too much detail. 😊

I like the inclusive stripy Santa idea. I live in Okinawa, Japan we have two seasons: Spring and Summer. Between living her for 4 years and living in England for 4 years prior I haven’t had a white Christmas in a long time. I love recreating your scene nails, I’m thinking of trying a winter snowfall scene.

The fact that I am watching a Xmas vid and it's almost Feb shows how much you're loved lol but I have Soo many questions! All that hype bout Laura's snowman joke and you don't tell us! lol and was the thing you threw in the fire "tweed"? If so, how the hell was it just laying around near the fireplace? 😂😂 Blue I think is not so much christmasy as it is Winter like icy and snow I spose has a bluish hue 🤷 the snowflake nail had me laughing ALOT.. "the brush is in our hands ... Not dumb! Do you mean regular polish, not gel? With the gel polish, I have a little palette 🎨 and pop some of the polish on it. I don't use regular polish but I imagine it would dry up pretty quickly when it's out the bottle, so maybe lift the lid and wipe your brush on the little stick thingy 😆.

I love the bauble the most. We have a hot xmas here in oz. Its horrible! I hate hot. My stepmum loved xmas pud. Always had it before she went into care. I am not a fan. Too stodgy. Plus i dont drink alcohol! Id love just for once australia got snow for xmas ❄

That was NOT nice! 😳 plus we have the most expensive electricity bills in the world (literally) so using the air con isnt always a good thing. Ive always wanted to move to the uk. I think you'd get used to the cold, and sometimes it's nice to wrap up in a jumper, big coat, scarf/hat/gloves 🤣 We are the opposite here having the radiators on all winter, although I wouldn't say no to some air-con when we have mini heat waves. I could probably count the houses in the UK that have air-con on one hand 🤣🤣

I like the inclusive stripy Santa idea. I live in Okinawa, Japan we have two seasons: Spring and Summer. Between living her for 4 years and living in England for 4 years prior I haven’t had a white Christmas in a long time. I love recreating your scene nails, I’m thinking of trying a winter snowfall scene.

The fact that I am watching a Xmas vid and it's almost Feb shows how much you're loved lol but I have Soo many questions! All that hype bout Laura's snowman joke and you don't tell us! lol and was the thing you threw in the fire "tweed"? If so, how the hell was it just laying around near the fireplace? 😂😂 Blue I think is not so much christmasy as it is Winter like icy and snow I spose has a bluish hue 🤷 the snowflake nail had me laughing ALOT.. "the brush is in our hands ... This maybe the dumbest question ever but when you're painting w fingernail polish from a bottle, do you simple pour it out into a dish or what?
Not dumb! Do you mean regular polish, not gel? With the gel polish, I have a little palette 🎨 and pop some of the polish on it. I don't use regular polish but I imagine it would dry up pretty quickly when it's out the bottle, so maybe lift the lid and wipe your brush on the little stick thingy 😆.

I love the bauble the most. We have a hot xmas here in oz. Its horrible! I hate hot. My stepmum loved xmas pud. Always had it before she went into care. I am not a fan. Too stodgy. Plus i dont drink alcohol! Id love just for once australia got snow for xmas ❄

That was NOT nice! 😳 plus we have the most expensive electricity bills in the world (literally) so using the air con isnt always a good thing. Ive always wanted to move to the uk. But im not sure i can handle the cold! Im not easy to please 😂

I think you'd get used to the cold, and sometimes it's nice to wrap up in a jumper, big coat, scarf/hat/gloves 🤣 We are the opposite here having the radiators on all winter, although I wouldn't say no to some air-con when we have mini heat waves. I could probably count the houses in the UK that have air-con on one hand 🤣🤣

What tips do you use for your nal art? I am trying to find some tips for artwork only so I don't end up with mixed sized, (if such a kit exists).
I use Makartt tips. They only come in packs with all sizes, which is annoying, but they are good quality and the shape is perfect.
