Great interview. Iggy is so real and funny. I thought his comments about people not supporting creativity unless supported by some sort of artifact were true and insightful, and instructional.
'" My best sighting was at the Ben Franks on Sunset Blvd. and Frank Zappa was sitting there at the counter looking like Frank Zappa" Iggy Pop. That was my reaction to the great American composer and Rocker i saw twice in Chicago. I was a lucky teenager and Iggy felt the same seeing FZ at the counter. I saw the ONE SIZE FITS ALL album and Over Night Sensation. I do indeed feel lucky to have those experiences. Don't miss yours today.

I started listening to Iggy a month ago and he became one of my favorite artist of all time up there with Prince. Already copped 9 of his albums on CD (The Idiot, Lust For Life, Kill City, Brick by Brick, Soldier, Naughty Little Doggie, American Ceasar, New values, and Zombie Birdhouse) Now I gotta get into The Stooges! 🤘🏾
"how ya doin? You still alive? ". "Yeah. How are you doin' ? You still shit?" Friends ! Not talking about that stupid show everyone loves for no good reason. This is real.
I used to have a talk by Iggy at the BBC ( 3?) but was taken down, I'm sure it's lurking somewhere on UA-cam. Anyway, it is wonderfully perceptive and, Goddamn it, the Fucker made me tear up when he spoke of listening to what was playing on the radio growing up, and then, that 'Magic' song came on, be it The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones and your life changed at that moment. Personally, this was the best induction speech for that Big-Monied, Sanctimonious lot of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and no one else could've delivered like Iggy, No. One. : ua-cam.com/video/AexkfMNm0U4/v-deo.html
Can you imagine Iggy Pop in your garage. If you can't you have no idea of what's going on whatsoever. Own it. And Neil Young too , the greatest American Rocker ever.
Neil wrote a song about "evil" Monsanto. But defended Pfi_z3r like a scared little girl. Ok, boomer. The hippies were as conformist as the generation they mocked. I used to love Neil's work. "After the Goldrush" is a classic. Iggy is still a blast. An underdog who survived like a guy on a life raft. Fifty years after he recorded it, I heard "Down on the Street" in two commercials this year, one being Ford Bronco. The idea of Ig helping Detroit doesn't seem ironic. Iggy in your garage...of course!

Great interview! Looked up the word cool in the dictionary and found Iggy Pop.
Absolutely love the monologue before the interview. Love anything Iggy does, but Marc's piece is fantastic!
You can tell Marc is just having such a blast haha! Especially that Nico story! It was magnificent
Ahhh, love the wholesome goodness of ol' Iggy.
Great interview. Learned a lot about this American legend.
Iggy pop is not dead. He toured last year Tommy went to see him.
" I thought I could write. And then I smoke a big joint and then I really thought I could write. Iggy Pop. fucking hilarious.
The more I get into Iggy Pop's music, the more I admire the man
That voice is like a mixture of hulk hogan and the crash test dummies singer. Dude should've been the voice of mufassa.
Lucky to have seen the Stooges at St Clair Shores Civic Arena just outside Detroit around 73. Amazing show.
Love iggy! Saw his new tour kick off in chicago
The COOLEST ROCKER that exists!
jeez, love Iggy -- but Marc's constant "yeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahs - pleeeeeze -- let Iggy talk
right !!?!?!?

His collab with the teddy bears (punk rocker) is so dope!
I've never listened to Iggys music before, so I did, and it's good.

Maron can’t believe they are playing high schools after having been to New York …
Every time Marc says "yeah yeah yeah" or "right right" you have to light up a joint
"how ya doin? You still alive? ". "Yeah. How are you doin' ? You still shit?" Friends ! Not talking about that stupid show everyone loves for no good reason. This is real.
Fuck yeah Michigan
Who's the artist that Iggy names in the min 34? He said it. But i didn't hear it well
Iggy mentions Eddie Cochran & Howlin' Wolf
Thought it was Jen Aniston from the photo
🤣🤣🤣 awesome

We never found out what Iggy did wrong or what he regrets about the gig at his dad’s high school.
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!???
Iggy!
How did they avoid the draft?
Iggy did by sporting a hard on during the examination.
Yeah exactly , look at those teeth! 200,000 dollar smile
Yeah those teeth have been knocked out one by one. two by two...
Probably closer to $35,000
Advice for writers 1:04:02
