The magnetic puck, why couldn't NAIM incorporate that to come down on the CD from above when the drawer is closed. (Mark Levinson did it in the 390 15 year ago) Lose that and your CD player becomes a door stop.
After placing the CD, you added a little thing you on top just before closing. Like a weight. What exactly was that? Is that necessary every time? Thanks.
Hello. Has anyone seen the inside of the naim nait CD5Si ?? It is an extremely poor and super cheep and simply built CD player with no quality! Almost nothing inside! Almost looks like my cheap DVD player inside! If you buy these two Naim products, you've just done something really stupid. You have bought low quality components!!!! I never really liked NAIM.
@@banglaamr7465 you obvious don't know what you're talking about. Naim has a lively pace rhythm and timing that makes it sound live with toroidal transformer and large storage capacitors and they perform critical listening tests before release. Know what your talking about before you post.
I love the cd5si, compared it to the more expensive CDX2 and it just sounds so much better and less analytical, it makes any cd sound great and has incredible bass, clarity

@@JohnSmith-zl8rz Not many brands make good CD players these days. The few brands that do cost a LOT! it is common to use cheap mechanism drives even on slightly expensive players. If you have a CD player with digital audio output, I recommend you buy a good DAC. CDs are not that popular anymore, so there aren't that many CD players being madew
The components are high quality, I own this player and have compared it to the CDX2, a higher end version, and much prefer it, it makes any CD sound incredible and isn’t overly analytical and fatiguing
Excellent sound!
Magnific....what amp and speakers?
Do you still recommend this CD player? I'm about to buy one to connect it to a Michi amplifier.
Yes, absolutely

They’re readily available, inexpensive and I’ve never lost one… it’s a “charm” of their players.
Put the CD, then close the cargo door!
Hey mystique Naim cd drive is very original and functional
what is this JBL speaker and amp?
It's a Sophia Electric 91-05 300B monoblocks and JBL 4425.
Hi, it's a cd5i or cd 5i mk2 ?
What happens if you pull the door mid play?
You lose, because you deserve to.

Magnetic “puck” - stabilises the CD.
May I know which CD did you play? Thanks!
Here We Go Again - Ray Charles & Norah Jones

The album is called Genius Loves Company, he duets with various artists, good album.
Sounds better than most of the Naim systems I've heard recently. Love the supports. What are they, please?
