I go usually with melody or sample flip first then bass then drums then layering additional samples and effects and meanwhile I do mastering

Or did you combine the bass line from the sample (Left side) and laid it on top of the sample with its bass line (Right side)? Bascially, did the sample on the right have a high pass filter applied to it? Thank you.
