Titleist AVX golf balls (2024)

The 2024 version of Titleist AVX is a three-piece golf ball with a smaller core and thicker urethane cover. found an AVX on the course and played the rest of the round with it. Definitely my new ball going forward, prefer it to the Pro V1's

Why is that? (I've gone from the higher spinning Srixon Z star XV to the regular Z star - much more penetrating ball flight - about 1/2 club longer than XV).
