It’s his life passion and that hasn’t changed. He would do what ever it took to sell a car. He like you loved the art of negotiation.

I am all for a business making a profit. But if you are going to lowball peoples trade ins and claim it's due to XYZ needing repairs/work, then do the work before you try and resell it instead of trying to pocket it. Did you see the video of the guy who drove down from north jersey to buy the Corvette and it didn't even have tires in good enough condition to pass inspection? Guaranteed George docked the original trade-in seller for the bad tires, and instead of using that money to fix to resell, he pocketed it and tried to get someone to buy it at the top price without doing anything. That's not the honest way to do business, do you agree?

At the time other dealerships were also selling cyber trucks for 200k+. Then they shot down to 190..180..150 and continuing to go down. The dude came into to look at it at the peak of the price
You must be crazy. In 1989 I made 50k when 50k was worth over 100k and a mini deal was 100. Today I would probably make about the same if not less and a mini deal is still 100. The profit on cars has stayed the same even though the price of cars have gone up drastically. It's not like real estate where the housing prices went up drasticaly to 600 or 700 thousand per house,and so the commissions went up. In car sales the prices went way up but the gross profits have stayed the same. So if you made a 20-lb deal 30 or 40 years ago you still got paid the same money as today. but money was worth more back then. The car business is a losing proposition. Long, 12 hours days and, nights and weekends. It only pays if you are an owner. I spent way too many years standing on car lots. If I had to do it again I would do it for about 2 years to get good sales training and then I'd move on to something much more lucrative. You need to be involved in a business where you don't have to remake your paycheck every week. Residual income.
All the people trying to make money off of common cars lol. Cars are not assets unless you are an influencer. If you can’t afford the car in the first place don’t be emotional and buy it.
