I watch guys that do this all fancy and i dont understand shit and lambo4real does it like whatever and i understand everything lol...this guy helps me a lot
He actually wired in series. Parallel is wiring both subs the same.Example.(Sub#1) Negative term. from sub goes to negative terminal of amp.Positive term. from sub goes to positive terminal of amp.(Sub#2) Wire straight to amp exactly the same as sub #1. This will drop the ohms! The way he wired these subs in this video is called (Series) it will raise the ohms.So if you want more power wire parellel. If you want less power but more precise bass and clarity wire the way he did in the video.
That’s actually wrong too. You have to have the subs wired TOGETHER for them to be either parallel or series. Connect the positives together, then the negatives and go from either sub to the amp. Only two leads going to the amp. That is parallel.
You wired the speakers in series, which raises the impedance (ohm load), the amp sees.
Parallel wiring lowers the impedance (ohm load), the amp sees.
Parallel is just + to + and - to -
Not knocking you lambo, I appreciate you spreading knowledge, just trying to help out and do the same! You did hit on a key point; make sure your amp can handle the final impedance load.
I kno this an older video but i really appreciate the way u explain everything it made it so easy to understand shiznit i subscribe to ur channel i have a lot to learn about all this car audio stuff back in the day we just threw a box and subs in with any old amp and banged but now there is so much more to learn and to get the most out of ur system so thank again bro✌🏼🔈🔉🔊🇵🇷
I have to do this because my amp is overpowering one subwoofer. So i have to put 2 on it so i won't blow it. Have you noticed that you are the only person on UA-cam with a video about this? I'm gonna keep using this video as a guideline when the sub comes in. Thanks.
OMG thanks lamo4real! i just got 4 12's and i was woundering how to do this and you made it simple! thanks a ton!
Thank u so much! I used to know how to bridge subs but it's been so long since I bridged any I Just forgot how lol but thank you again!! Now I'm gonna up grade from 2 10 inch sub to 2 12 Inch subs! Can't wait!!!!!!
@THAnacho16 subwoofers are designed only to produce the low frequencies, say from 35 - 200Hz, no one speaker can produce the entire audible spectrum (20Hz - 20kHz), its practically an impossibility, so in a speaker system typically there are two or three speakers to cover the whole spectrum (sometimes 4). there are five different speakers for the different ranges, from the bottom these are: Sub Woofer(20-200), Woofer(80-1k), Squawker(500-8k), Tweeter(12k-18k), Super Tweeter(18k and up).
one ohm is just lettin your jawn knocking crazy!!!!
@lambo4real The "crucial" magnetic components is basically the enter drive itself. The bits on the drive are nothing more than positive or negatives, reading as a 1 (+) or 0 (-).
It's amazing when you think that on a 5" disk they can fit 8 trillion 1's and 0's, and have a computer read it at up to 7000 RPM
@lambo4real I know this is an old vid but the terminology your looking for is "Series" vs. "Parallel" you have speakers bridged in series on vid wich raises ohm, @TheMbl13 gave the wiring for "Parallel" which will drop ohm load. still a good vid. Good job, except for the ohm mix up.
Note to self...Dont Let Lambo Hook-Up My System.
My Lil Sis Probably Knows & Understands More Than Ol' Boy On The Video.
oh ok then good looks !
Great vid man
Good looks!!
Great video, thanks bro.
@pkeranger6 two 4ohm subs in PARRALLEL makes 2ohms. it cuts it in half. putting them in SERIES, like this vid shows, multiplies them by 2, making them 8ohms. you can always google it to learn all the different aspects of the two.
Thanks bro.
this isn't BRIDGED!!! this is SERIES! series = MORE impedance(ohms). you want to do PARALLEL in order to decrease the impedance(ohms). for parallel all you do is connect the two positives together on the subs to make one line to put in the positive side of the amp and then connect the sub negatives together to make one line for the neg input on the amp.
if you do it the way this video shows then you are hooking your speakers up in SERIES making a 4ohm sub 8ohms. PARALLEL makes a 4ohm sub 2ohms.
good shit lambo
i plan on getting 2 fibtl 18s and 2 2000w amps cuz thats how much the subs are so if i have 2 2000w mono amps 2 2000w subs what would be the best setup like should i hook it up differntly or wat 5* video keep em comin.
Thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
I like ur vid. . . thanks
thanks man really helpfull!
Needs more views and subs. Great video, easy to understand. Just need a tripod for that camera yo!
I recently put in a sub in my bros trunk and It does not have alot of power can I put another sub off of the same amp and then just connect it without having to put it through the car again?
I know how to bridge speakers and this tutorial still hurt my head and confused the hell out of me!!!
What if I ran a 1000rms @ 1 ohm amp to 2 subs that are parallel wired to 2 ohms? Would it damage the speakers?
Do I wire the same way with multiple speakers or is it different
ok ok nice vid but yh the guy who was talking about the ohm load being raised by wiring it that way. if you guize want a lower ohm load then learn how to wire in parallel... just google how to wire 2 subs in parallel
you don't bridge subs, you bridge channels on your amp. it's best to have a monoblock for subs, and then figure out if you need to wire them parallel or in series depending on what OMHs u need to be at
Much easier way to explain would be is to say just cross match instead of match for one sub
OHMS Law, look it up.
@patwrz9413 no that would blow them... if the amp is 300 watts x 2 channels then you put each speaker in each channel and there ya go, 150 each, if you bridge it it'll be too much for them
If you have 2 2ohm speakers then this would be fine but 4 ohm speakers have too much impedence to run in series
man sorry on the delay on that ....i will post a vid on that next month ..its been snowing alot in Delaware so i couldnt do it yet but stay posted cuz i plan on doing that next month....ive been working on a led mod for the inside of the car that change 3 different colors im bout to post that vid 2 night so check bk soon on that 1 ...... and the name on the song was
drake - the last hope ...off the mixtape comeback season ...just search drake the last hope
No your amp wouldnt try to put out that much power : 1000rms @ 1 ohm. If the impedence of the subs were not down to , 1ohm.
So in the sense... the amp wouldn't put out 1 ohm, if the speakers were not wired to 1 ohm.. the only thing would be that the amp would have a little lower rms rating @ 2ohms.
ya ipod hooked up to the "jawn"? you from philly or that area?
@junyaB I thought it would be 1ohm after paralleling 2 4ohm subs?
@wax333 yes i know because memory is stored my magnets even thought a hard drive is is disk it prob has crucial magnetic components in it tht can damage it not even tht the MB RAM chips can alsoo be damaged because those are basically magnets too and if the magnets get too close to the computer the 2 will clash yess i know ... lol
whoa whoa whoa?!?! Is that an English PACE in the background??? Dude!
Hi my name is Sajib,i have a Boss 1100 Wats 2Channel Monoblock amp and a 12" Pinoeer Woofer which working good in my Pinoeer Navigation. Now i wanted to give connection 2 other speaker in my car door? can i do that??
13 hours
hey you have any idea why i might have made my isubwoofer smoke well i have 2 12"s in a box but im only using 1 sub because it sounds alot louder but then i decided to bridge that 1 sub and got alot more power like that but then notice after awhile a smell and smoke started coming out of my woofer so i disconnected it but it still works any ideas
My nigga!!! I understand now!!! Lol thank you kind sir!!!
if i have two subs that are 4 ohms and have 150 rms each, if i bridge them to a mono amp with 300 watts rms 1 channel x2, will that give each sub 150 watts?
Cerwin vegas?
I just got 2 12'' CVR kicker subs from a guy and he said the subs are rated for 600 watts and they are 2 ohm each. idk what kind of amp to get to power it, plz help
New to this, kinda lol I'm about to hopefully be getting a system, I'm getting my car so... but I was looking at two subs at first, I'm on a budget so I was getting two cheap subs they were dvc 300w rms 4 ohm each and I was looking at a mono amp same brand, that was 600w rms x 1 @ 4ohms I believe, would that amp work and would it be enough power or should I have a little more, cause if I bridged the subs the amp would have to be two ohms right? I also heard that you need an amp that puts out 50% more power than the subs. Is this true? Lol I just need help with all of it. You seem like you kno your shit and explain it easily. Lmk dude!!! Then I wanted one good 12" I found one that comes with a box it's 375w rms dvc 4ohm, what amp would I need for this? Imma have to double check all the specs but I'm pretty sure they're right.
ok so how are u post to bridge them then.... remember that a svc speaker
Im 17 in UK wanna buy a golf mk4 1st car BUT i wanna no... why bridge a 1 subwoofer? (Im a super noob as shit like dis)
P.S. Goin To Buy An Amp Just Like Yours (i dont really want a lot of bass just sometink i can say yhh its gd enough)
are those tiny cerwin vegas?!
Just so everyone watching this knows, this is the wrong way to do this. Lol
how about two dvc subs to a 2 channel amp??
thnks a ton
This is not bridging, bridging is turning a stereo amp into a mono amp to get more power. lets say one stereo amp is 300 watts, if you bridge this 300 watt stereo amp you will get a 600 watt mono amp, what you have done in this video is simply wire two speakers together in series, which will double the impedance, you said in the video they were 4ohm, 4 + 4 = 8ohm, which is fine if the amp is 8ohm.
@JMoore4291
Duh! That's why the title says "How to Brige 2 subwoofer to work on a SINGLE CHANNEL AMP"!
wanna sell those fresh woofs? lmao
@wax333 cant damage a ipod i have mine sitting next to my port on my box in my ford ranget had it for 9 years and no ruined ipod
Lmao he sounded like Drake and he was gonna play some Drake music
btw having speakers by computers isnt that healthy you may damage the hard drives including your ipod
@s10swag
Where's your video?!
@whatsthatfilm at least he's trying to help people. where's your video to help people?
for Christ's sake, DONT believe this shit.
1.He connected the speakers in series which resulted in 8 ohm, not good.
2. the less ohm the less stress on your amp, as long as you don't over watt your amp.
3. Sound is not affect by ohm's if connected correctly.
4. Connecting 2 speakers in series can cause power inconsistency between them. don't belive me put your Hand over one and see what happens to the other.
Ferdinand Garcia mount wires parallel, that’s what I did. 2, 500 watt max sundown subs to a 1,100 watt boss amp, positive to positive x2. Negative to negative x2.
How would I do 3 subs with 2 channel playa
HEY LAMBO WAS THAT MY NIGGA TREY IN THE BACKGROUND!!!
worng u just wired that to a 8ohms 2 ohms well be + to+ - to - = 2ohms stable using a 4ohms sub
@lambo4real
somehow not true for iphones...i found an iphone and put a magnet next to it, nothing happened...
then aint speakers thems OLD SKOOL. an right one mane with the A.C.E homschool book
doesnt necessary mean that it is safe if you knew how hard drives function
HOW TO BRIDGE A 2CH? WITH 2 SUBS?
And you are gonna wreck your amp in 3 days by over watting it
@SN1P3RM1K3 man thats easy. Just buy a real cheap amp, plug the ipod into that and then plug your speakers into the amp
u kant be hooking up a negative lead to a positive lead u gonna burn it amp & subs &arnt Dos speakers mids
Magnets, Laptop are to close togeather.
dat was my shit, what song was that
Speak ri homies speed it up
Sounded stoned af..
@urbex2007 why slag him off? he's helping me... your video's didn't. you want to slag him of but you never do any better...
That's not bridging. That is known as running your speakers in a series. It actually raises the amount of ohms your stereo puts out. Wiring speakers parallel will lower your ohms.
It's not bridging its paralleling
Stop making videos.
What if I connect 1 sub to all 4 outputs on a 2 channel amp and the sub was a 4 ohm and the amp did
RMS Power at 4 Ohms=125 W x 2
RMS Power at 2 Ohms=190 W x 2
...what would the impedance be then?
hey bro
how would you hook up 3 subwoofers?
I don't do audio but I'm an electrician and 2 loads wired in series (which you just did) adds impedance which means those are 8 ohms. Wiring loads in parallel is what you have to do to lower the resistance.
so do i do this or no
@@BeastGamer48 yes, wire in "parallel"
