you can not specify which env to use when running emulator it just loads all of the .env files

I wish the emulator could stop having so many issues. Crashes, being slow, can't emulate many things related to phone calls (it's an emulator that's mainly of smartphones...).

No, I can not learn how to configure each platform by reading its respective documentation because Firebase's Docs are terrible, generally speaking. They only cover the very basics for doing a "Hello World!" app and nothing more.

An entire video dedicated to environments and emulators which does not touch deployment targets and database instances. Does not touch them AT ALL. A complete waste of time.
