Kruk was my fav player growing up. He always had the kind of DGAF attitude I always liked. It's like when he turned down an offer for 20 million from the Dodgers and stayed in Philly for 2 million. He said "What am I going to do with all that money?"
I remember watching that cardinals game, Schwarber hits that homer and couldn’t stop laughing when Kruk said “I can’t go up tomorrow that’s too early. We got a day game.” 😂
We Phillies fans are a privileged group right now ,one of the best teams with an all time great announcer. You are never bored watching a Phillies game.
I met him in real life , was at a NJ arcade well over a decade ago ( when he was on ESPN) . Kruk was standing next to his son while he played some sort of game. His body language and facial expression portrayed that he had 2,593 places he would rather be than this sweaty little arcade in Jersey . I couldn’t resist the opportunity to go shake his hand. I told him something along the lines of you already look miserable enough, you don’t want to hear my argument about why you should be in the hall of fame , but never will be. Actually got him to laugh quite a bit.
Loved Auburn. He had such a dry sense of humor. Now that I’m back in Philly, can’t believe how goofy (in a good way) Kruger is. The 2 guys really play off each other. Thanks for livening up the booth.

Kruk is horrible. Whines and complainsabout rules, pitch clock and umpires. We all know about bad umpiring but we don't need to hear about it every batter. Talking with wrestlers for over a half hour during a ball game is absurb. I don't need to hear stories about his brother Daryl and his other brother Daryl. The man does know hitting and l enjoy his stories about Tony Gwynn but my ears don't stop bleeding till about a month after the season.
