I don't know Rory, I started liking him when he told off Spurs fans for supporting City. Also, British media are awful, they have their own agenda and try to make manager's look stupid, I don't blame him. Also, he knows Spurs wanted to lose so Arsenal don't benefit so that was probably his way of not admitting it.

I said when he was appointed it was a bizarre appointment. Thing is in his first few months I think we were all so worn down by two defensive managers that the fact he played attacking football we all just gave him a free pass for 6 months. We play the same way every week and teams took about 6-7 months to work it out.

That game against city last year was a disgrace. This guys lost it. They sacrificed ucl to lose a match. No other fan of any other club especially a big 6 club wants their team to lose and supports it especially to sacrifice europe. Thats y they'll never win a trophy again.

While I do want Spurs to want to win against the London rivals, we saw what happened last year against Chelsea where half the team got injured and ruined our run. Unlike Chelsea, Spurs don't have/want to/ can spend 1 billion dollars on a 40 man squad and still finish lower than Spurs who apparently have a "fraud"
Well, in my humble opinion, I think that no matter how obnoxious he is, or how bad a manager he is, I am delighted that he is still the manager of Tottenham Hotspur - but then, I am an Arsenal supporter :)

I agree with you on some points. I think he is overrated. Also it is disappointing to see a manger not take rivalry that seriously. He still has a lot to prove but the problem is the club in which he is, he wont win anything with spurs!

The reality is that a truly top class manager is not going to be in the Dingo League and Scotland into his late 50's. The guy is not good enough to take the Spuds where they want to go or he'd have had a top job much earlier. Anyone who saw him manage Celtic in the CL and the batterings they took should have known that he wins titles by having the best players on the best team in weak leagues but gets exposed when he's got to make the difference himself against equal or better quality opponents.

People talking about how Rory faulted on his stance on Arteta so it must apply to Postecoglou is just silly. So every single time a manager is performing bad, we just use the argument "well arteta did it and they were sh*t at one point, so how could you react to Ange in that way at such an early stage". In that case no manager can be sacked unless we've reached 3 years, they must be immune from criticism. With arteta, there was something unique, good football and cases of playing out the back which hadn't been seen in years for an arsenal team, awful defense and midfield, but there were still moments at the early stage. Unless Postecoglou can show somewhat consistent good performances with the spending he has done (and by consistent i mean 2-3 games in a row) he shouldn't be held to that high of a standard by the end of this season.

If you watched Spurs game you will know we lack 2 things creating/scoring chances & set pieces. I do agree we need a set piece coach badly. Our attack is horrible which is the reason we don't win games. Klopp, Arteta or Pep didn't change their club in 1 season, it takes time to build a successful team. Ange lost Kane, finally got rid of a lot of deadwood & making the squad younger. Ange has done well at Tottenham & let's not forget when we lost Kane everyone said we wouldn't be top 10 at all. All Ange needs is a top LW (Son replacement) & RW, Physical 6, another CAM like Eze unless Kulu can improve then a good defensive LB & RB cover. Trust the process & believe in the project.
Just leave them it's amazing to watch, tell them there doing well. Remember staying in the league is actually a success for spurs

I don't think wanting to win every game is wrong. I was on his side as a manager though I understood spurs fans position on the game. But for this game to be the same as any other? In the eyes of the table all three points are equal. But some points are more equal than others.
I like Rory, but even for him this is a ridiculous take. Do you expect any manager under any circumstances (derby or not) to say to the press, he would prefer to lose? Fans can say that, not the manager who's getting paid to do the exact opposite. Its easy to put spin on any opinion. Celtic had lost the previous year to rangers by 25 points never beat rangers once that year. He turned that around in months and went on to win everything without losing to rangers. The players he introduced to celtic nearly all made money in transfers or are now mainstays in the existing team
