I enjoy your ESC videos very much and particularly the fact that you are able to point out positive aspects of songs which finish way down the order and may deserve a second listen after all these years. Even though I need my reading glasses to decipher the comments on this particular series!
I think many people just likes to hate on it since it won, sometimes people can't look past certain things to appreciate what they actually are! Having said that, I've actually seen lots of people loving the entry as well hehe
I think you should have won in 2002 and 2004. Perhaps 2018 too, but for me it was one of the strongest years ever and any of my top 10 would be a great winner.
thanks for the 1st place, its just a shame that we don't send many good songs anymore and when we do, they come once every 5 years in most cases these days and the fact that most people in the UK don't care about Eurovision and when we leave the EU, over 50% of the country want us to pull out of Eurovision :(. great video as always!
For a minute I thought you had forgotten the UK entry but I was so happy to see it on first place, thanks so much :) My favourite out of these entries is probably Malta but I like the French, Estonian and Latvian entries as well. Great video once again
I don't exactly have too much to say about this year, but we have the same winner! I personally thought the UK, Malta, Estonia, and Sweden were the best, but I do have a bit of a soft spot for Latvia. And to be honest, I totally get what you mean about Greece. Yes it was one hell of a mess, but it was an iconic one. Awesome job :)
I don't know what's more impressive, how you found something positive with most entries of such an appalling year or the fact that the U.K was first for once in these lists
May Morgan Well... I dare you to come up with something positive to say about that Lithuanian entry... Also, I think you should get used to seeing UK rather high in these videos in the future as I'm reaching the time when they actually sent decent entries hahah

I don’t think Latvia should have won, but it really isn’t as bad as many people say. Though for some reason, the studio version works for me and the live doesn’t. Super interesting comments as always :) It was a pretty weak year, yet we had a clear Top 5 that year (by all females which is interesting xD). All 5 really deserved it. It was my first ever Eurovision so It's something special for me cause I didn't have a clue about Eurovision before that night xD. In my home we had 2 stand outs that night: France because it was simple and beautiful and ofc Latvia.. she simply stole the show with that performance and the song was very different from the rest. I remember my mom saying Latvia has this for sure. It's so funny because Latvia had strong Spanish vibes in the song and performance (we could have done something similiar) and Spain sent like a generic song with no personality.. same old story hahah. Fans still don't get it but Latvia was a well deserved winner in that particular year. Something different, fresh in terms of Eurovision and an incredible show performance. Looking forward to 2001 :) Again a super clear Top 4 that year heh

Just too many forgettable and poor entries. 2004 is the same, but at least the top 6 songs that year were memorable. There's hardly a single song from 2002 that I find the memorable, not even the winner..
That's how I feel about 2005, my first year. But then 2005 was an amazing year so because of the nostalgia I like pretty much every single song from that year hahah

For me "Il Faut Du Temps" is one of our best entry ever sent to Eurovision (with 1991 and 2018)
