I believe Pete’s favorite is LET THERE BE ROCK but yeah, my favorite is POWERAGE too! Also, my 1st AC/DC record. I got that and IF YOU WANT BLOOD… on cd at the same time. No looking back. No regrets.
@user-vu4zk3rp1w any bon record is awesome for sure. I think the bluesy- slutty/ dirty feel of Powerage really sets it on top.
I won't lie. I was born in 70. Bon for me is the man. But to this day, there has never been a better replacement of a front man than Brian Johnson. Some would say Sammy Van Halen. But the album For Those About To Rock.... I'll say say it was all good in the era of 80's when glam came in AGAIN was wrong. So sure, those and future works are good. My favorite is Dirty Deeds. 74 ep Jailbreak. Highway. But controversially I'll say Fly On The Wall was excellent!!!!
For sure Brian was a great replacement, and as you stated might have been the best in rock history. The band was also writing better songs early on as well.
My Top 5 BON SCOTT Era AC/DC Albums Ranked :
5. Let There Be Rock (1977)
4. Highway To Hell (1979)
3. High Voltage (1976)
2. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976)
1. Powerage (1978)
Great picks. My first 3 tapes I bought as a kid in 84 was AC/DC - Back In Black, Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry and Def Leppard - Pyromania. I'm still trying to get all of AC/DC albums on vinyl. I've got about 6 more to go. My top 5 would probably be your exact list, to be honest. RIP Bon.
