Thank you for viewing .The trains are double headed because of what they are pulling Nuclear waste so if one loco failed the other loco can carry on DRS & Network rail would not like a train sat in a station over night waiting for recovery . Also it helps to maintain the time keeping of the train even the new 68s are run in pairs .
Thanks for viewing . The flasks a made of steel & concrete . Many years ago a old loco was crashed into a flask to test to see how strong that was . The Loco came off worse than the flask .
