@@ahmedayaz1744 Because pokemon booster boxes from first edition jungle (1999) were already gaining value before august 2000 when these sets were released. people just decided to keep them as investment. Jungle had only 62 cards in the set so it gained value fast, because it was easier to pull a gen 1 charizard worth hundreds back in the day, and probably worth thousands today.

At the time they released, Mewtwo was more popular so more people kept them. Now, less Golducks exist making them worth more :)

@@FirePhoenixYT not exactly. Basically when someone got a Golduck in a pack, they disregarded it as it wasn’t a popular Pokemon like mewtwo. Hence, now when their very limited, since more people held onto mewtwo, there’s more supply of them, making them cheaper.

It's the price that specific card would be worth IF it gets graded PSA 10 - use your head a little. They just find the card they pulled with a PSA 10 on the internet, and use that price for reference.
