This acoustic version is so much sweeter than the original and it reflects the vulnerability of their love story over the years, how they went through so much hurt and misunderstandings and heartbreak before they both took the plunge and decided to be together even though they were both scared. Because the hurt of not being together was worse than playing safe. I can’t wait to see how their love story will grow in 5B and s6!,

What make season 4 and 5 my favorite seasons is that they write Lucifer and Chloe in these complicated delimas where you can't pick a side:
Season 4 - Chloe finds out Lucifer is the Devil and betrays him because she's terrified, but realizes she was wrong. Lucifer finds out about this by Father Kennelly and twists it. So, naturally, Lucifer is heartbroken that the woman he has killed his own brother for, gone to Hell (twice), and has always been honest with, the woman who constantly assured him she would accept him, betrayed him in such a way; that his biggest fear that she wouldn't be able to accept him came true. But, you can't fault Chloe for feeling this way either; he is the Devil. So, in episode 3, when Lucifer and Chloe temporarily end their partnership, you're not thinking Lucifer or Chloe are right or wrong, you're just sad that they were put in this situation. But in the end, it's Lucifer who needs to forgive Chloe and you understand why
Season 5 - Chloe finds out that she was a gift from God by Lucifer manipulative twin; that she's basically a toy for someone. You can completely get behind her going through an existential crisis, but understand after thousands of years trapped in Hell, all Lucifer wants is his one true love. One of my favorite scenes was when Chloe had Lucifer and Amenadiel in the interrogation room and she was trying to find any upside to being a miracle baby (laser hands) and while I'm sure a lot of people laughed at that scene, I couldn't help but sit there in awkward silence with the Angels because I knew how hard this was for her. But when Chloe saw from a different perspective; that it's her ability to see Lucifer for who he is, not that she's the gift, she was able to see past it all.
The writers made the right decision in not having them make love until after both characters went through their own trust issues with each other. Because when they finally did the deed, you felt as if there was nothing holding them back; no "what is Chloe/Lucifer going to think when she finds this out"
