I think it’s normal. I completed secondary at 17. But I give him credit for being bright but most of the compliment must be given to the parent. Parental support is essential. I did not go to medical school till my 20s because of lack of support. We must advise parents to be supportive but not controlling to their kids. All the same Happy for him.
Congratulations Akpene. Some of us started same at the early stage from stage 4 to secondary but lost our way moving forward. May Allah be with all the brilliant ones.
This young man perhaps is among the first to help Ghana to reach for the stars. Not in the sense of dreaming, just to dream, but building constantly and steadily toward national prominence via personal excellence. Knowledge is power, and moral, ethical, and religious values keep us grounded. Ghana is buzzing with personal achievement, excellence, and determination. At this point it could go in a million directions at a million miles an hour. To the people of the diaspora I say that as you fit back into Ghanaian society, and you bring your expertise with you, do not forget to bless your brothers and sisters in Ghana who seek success as much as you yourselves want it. By this means the world will take notice, soon come knocking at Ghana’s door asking for a crust of bread. Let not your successes be the measure of your actions in the world, but the religious values of the One who made us all...many blessings to you all. I kiss Ghana, and hug you all to my heart.
Am 65 and in our days pupils in preparatory schools who were just prepared for common entrance examinations entered secondary school at the age of 12 and 13
Yes 👍🏾, it’s normal to go to SHS at the age 10,11,12 and 13 years old. Some of my mates were the same age like him in 80s and 90s in secondary schools 🏫
I am not surprised because some of my mates was younger than him and I remember 4 or 5 students were from 10,11,12 and 13 years old at that time. So as for me it’s normal. They finished form five at the age of 15,16,17 and 18 years old and they go six form before going to University. That was 80s and 90s. I am very happy for him, congratulations 🥳
It doesn't matter really. Some kids are into books and learning and some not. If you force your children into something they don't like they will do it, but will be damage for life. This kid love it
My brother is a chartered accountant at 20, and even he isn't the youngest chartered accountant lol. He also attended St. Augustines at age 13. I think it's normal. But this guy has done well though.
The presenters should stop treating him like a baby... he's 22years old! He was an adult 4years ago, surely he's old enough to handle being a lawyer when others his age were ruling kingdoms
@@migf27 it's stupidity for u to say that, it was way back school okay, anyways I have my 3rd degree in I.T software. Never underestimate anyone .next time when you reply a message, text in a matured manners
@@kaypacchannelsone7592 You are extremely immature! Most Ghanaians of yesteryear went to Secondary School at age 10, 11 or 12 so Akpene is no different. Congrats to him especially his parents for a job well done. Akpene is 22 years (a man in any society) so the interviewers should not have treatment him during the interview as a child - that part of the interviewing about girls was so unprofessional, inappropriate and uncalled for. The interviewers were condescending (typical Ghanaian way of seeing age) but this has to stop. It does not give our children confidence. At 22 years they are grown men and women and should be treated as such. I agree with your Beatrice Gunu. PS: The female interview even said to him and I quote: the child that you are unquote. Get real and stop this way of seeing age.
I think all this questions are irrelevant, about girls. This is not news. Tsatsu Tsikata entered secondary school at age 9 also Mfantsipim and entered the university at age 16 , and finished university at 18 years. You guys are talking to him like a kid
10:02... He said for the university when you study a specific topic for the semester, that's all... My Fellow Engineering students, share your stories because ours is madly different. Sank)fa we dey do here... 😂😅😅🥵🥵
Great disservice to a great candidate. The interviewers were all over the place and irritable. Interjecting unnecessarily and loud. CitiTV please improve the space
The presenters are being extremely rude... especially the woman. Yes, he was a child back then but he's an adult now for crying out loud!!! I wouldn't be surprised if he got pissed during the interview....

The lady interviewer talks too much and jumps around with many unnecessary chip ins
