Tara used SPF and I swear my makeup doesn’t melt off when I use SPF as a base. If you have oily skin sheisedo makes a SPF that blocks oil throughout the day. As long as you double cleanse at the end of the day and use a light powder you should be better. Tara was double cleansing before it was cool. Lol
I found House Of Sillage because of these Saturday hauls and I have to say thank you! Also, my wallet hates you, lol. I sure love it....my wallet not so much. They really are such a quality perfume and when you hit a good sale it makes all the difference
Hi Tara, you know what product I think you'd really love? The Ulta brand complexion crush foundation. It's a super long wearing foundation but it isn't drying in the least. I've never come across that before actually. Perfect for dry or combo skin. The color selection isn't great. I have to mix two colors. Anyway this is my new holy grail foundation, and it's affordable!
I completely agree about too faced. I have gotten all of their tin palettes so far but this will be they first year I pass. It is just frustrating that they keep doing pretty much the same thing every year.
Do you make your own ice cream? Better Homes and Garden cookbook easy ice cream recipe (doubled), but substitute honey for the chocolate syrup... so yummy!
I'm not sure if you can get Kawartha Dairy ice cream in the States but if you can and you haven't tried you must. It is simply divine/pic the clouds parting and angels singing, lol!

I wish Givenchy had released the blush/highlighter in a deeper shade, light pink would be too ashy on me. I agree Too Faced needs to release something other than the same eye shadow colors.

Too faced used to be a must buy for me, but its just gone really down hill, the first 2 chocolate bar palletes are still daily go to's for work but these new ones are just dreadful. The quality reminds me of their very under par holiday pallettes.

I stopped purchasing Too Faced palettes a long time ago. I stopped at the peach palette and gingerbread palette. I don’t remember which one is older. I liked the semi-sweet palette, except for the pink and blue shades. You can keep layering and digging in there, but they’re a waste of space and time. I really can’t stand their holiday palettes. I bought the Joy To the Girls one a long time ago, and two shades also wore off quickly, which just so happen to be pink and blue too. Lol. I gave up on the company.
You skipped a shade in the too faced palette. I always have to tease you on it when it happens because of what you said a while ago about skipping shades lol❤️
Yeah, the new TooFaced eyeshadow palette is being given "meh" reviews by everyone I've seen review it. They all say the same: redundant neutral browns you can find in any palette for less $$$ & the colorful shades give zero pigment or won't pick up/build at all. Conversely many people are loving the bronzer & tinted lip plumper (ouch, no thanks)
For some reason I expected the new chocolate bar palette to be the same formula as their Chocolate Gold palette. Kinda disappointed it’s their regular lackluster shimmer formula.
I specifically wanted to see your review of the new Too Faced palette, and your description matched mine EXACTLY. I bought it because I have all the rest of them and collect the brand. However the quality has declined so much, and good grief this one has absolutely nothing that makes it "better" for sure. I too noticed right off there wasn't a matte highlight shade light enough for me. How could they leave out something as basic and necessary as that?! It's boring and a repeat of previous palettes. Where's the blueberry, plum, or cherry palettes? Hell, even an apple palette would have been better than this.
Personally I have given up on TF eye shadow pallets they are all the same pretty Much the same and like you said the formula not the best for the amount of money havent changed them I just don't think it's worth it anymore along with UD eye shadow pallets, I don't get it it 2022 and they are stuck in 2000 but the lipstick and liner look super pretty and I almost bought the concealer durning the VIP access but I wasn't sure and wanted to see more dry skin girl reviews. I noticed they had a lot in tj and marshals even the killer eyeliners mini pallets primes mini pallets born this way concealer and foundation.
As always, weekend made and Tara time helps make my week complete. TF has gone from being top of the make up pile to almost the bottom, it’s so incredibly sad to see this happen to brands. Now that Jerrod and Jeremy have left ( as of May this year) I’m wondering if under the news direction of Tara Simon who was previously the Snr. VP of TF , we will see some newness injected. I have to say...I’m not that hopeful. Honest,y the brand has only slid down hill since becoming a part of the Estée family six years ago although TF sales actually increased during the Covid time frame. Many brands go through a very rough time after being assumed by a large parent company, some do manage to turn things around and get back on track I’m hoping we see some good things happen for TF in the future and they begin listening to their consumers and stop putting out the same ole same ole year after year.
A'ho Tara! That TF Better Than Chocolate palette makes me sad for Too Faced. They're becoming so boring, and the lack of quality on this palette is pathetic. Love the EM lip oil lipglosses and Haus Labs Sunstone Bio-Radiant Highlighter, though! Just adore the precious details on the House Of Silage newest launches because the CUTENESS. I mean, Gummi Bears and ice cream cones! Looking forward to watching the newest Predator movie Prey, as my paternal grandmother was Comanche (and grandpa was Abenaki). I'm loving shows like Longmire, because we are finally not being portrayed as stereotypical caricatures for a refreshing change. Took long enough!
I don't understand why they don't use the same formula they used in the Chocolate Gold pallet...That one was far better in quality than any of the other pallets. They also need to stop making every pallet look the same. They need more colors, different shades, better quality. Their packaging is the only thing that sells their shadows anymore TBH.
*Too Faced are DEAD AS HELL* ☠️ I wish they would just *lie down* & *STOP* insulting us with these endlessly crappy palettes 🙄 That 'colour story' & those swatches were nightmarish...
