I love these! The good old days of country music. Thank you for sharing. Loretta Lynn - there was truly no one like her. And you can tell how much Dolly Parton learned from the wonderful Porter Wagoner as well. They were all great and left their mark on country music, as did the Wilburn Brothers.
This was just a few months before Dolly started working with/on the Porter Wagoner show, and before her first full vinyl albume ("Hello, I'm Dolly") came out... I believe. She's wearing the same dress on this show, which she wore on the cover of that album. Great job for all those entertainers. Thank you for posting/sharing this.
You can see how nervous/shy both Dolly and Loretta were! They both were so green but obviously had mutual respect for one another. Loretta really shines in the gospel song though. She was naturally loud and could really belt out
@@joshnorris90 both of them had been around performing for years when this aired. Dolly had been on moral tv many times and released her first single in 1958.. Loretta in 1961.

I loved Loretta from the First time I ever heard her sing , she's the Queen.
Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton are two of my favourite singers ever.
If there was a Mount Rushmore for female country singers, Loretta and Dolly would definitely be there.great show.

Dolly Parton is not wearing a wig, .Are there any others?🆘🅰🅱🅱🅰🆘🇺🇸🗽🦅🇦🇺🇦🇮🇸🇪👌🏻❤💙💚💛❤🧡👍
Dolly is indeed wearing a huge wig
Right. Not a full wig, at least. There are definite hair pieces added, but it’s far more her real hair than what would later be the norm.
