Here's a tip! Try a popper or a whopper plopper for pike(Mostly work in the summer and spring but sometimes in the fall) I have caught my biggest pike and perch with my whopper plopper.

a whopper plopper is mainly popular in america, fish wont bite them in the uk in winter! not worth the waste of time trying.
