Awww, seems like Kiyomasa ran to protect Annie. It is so sweet how Annie and Kiyomasa hug and walk together. They have such a beautiful bond. Sweet Shabani just wants to hug and play with Annie but it always seemed that Annie was always cautious around Daddy. She knows he is her protector, but I wish she didn't seem so fearful around him. I would love to see Annie give daddy a big hug and cuddle him. Shabani would be so happy to get that closeness with his Princess. Shabani is just the kindest and sweetest Daddy.

The whole family was energetic an happily playful which is nice to see. Don’t think Annie is fearful of dad she respects his power. He is intimidating but loves his Annie it was cute to see their interaction but even cuter to see Kiyomasa run to protect her, good Silverback response

By the way, please know these gorillas are NOT Mountain Gorillas, which are around 1,000 in the wild. Shabani and family are Western Lowland gorillas. Mountain gorillas are much large, furrier and much more endangered due to poachers and loss of habitat. There are are around 1,00 left. Dian Fossey studied Mountain gorillas. Watch “Gorillas in the Mist” with Sigourney Weaver. It’s a very emotional movie. Dian Fossey was machetes to death in her bed by poachers because she tried to protect them. Her research was critical in assessing the danger of extinction of Mountain Gorillas. Western Lowland are in bigger numbers but still threatened poachers and loss of habitat.
They seem fine; it’s just perfectly normal gorilla play behavior. Kiyomasa may be a bit jealous and possessive of his sister but he’s also being naturally protective.
Kyomasa definitely should be going through the process of separation. Annie is still too small. They have older females like komomo and momoka that need a place to go so haoko won't keep mating with them.
Umm possessive to the point where this whole family is uncomfortable to watch honestly I doubt he sees her as a baby sister but as a potential mate. I don’t even watch anymore I only randomly clicked on This I can’t even watch this family anymore it seems like they are all treating Kiyo as the new dominant male and ignoring Shabani I don’t know how no one else sees it he has attempted to mate with both Ai and Annie it is horrible
The zoos have to do a better job of keeping all the animals safe. Their vegetables should be organic not full of hormones. I saw one zoo where two baby male gorillas take turns on each other sexually. Not normal. We need to protect these animals

Yeah it's just sad that these gorillas lives are so altered by humans but take so long to take action in their future...is the zoo afraid of loosing money if they move a family member out to start his own journey because it's not the gorilla fault that their hormones are doing what's natural to them..if they weren't in captivity they would be out looking for a mate...
Shabani does not kiss his daughter, he tries to hug her (start of mating). I would like to point out that his brother Haoto has mated with his daughter Momoka!

Gentaro has not exhibited this behavior..It's not healthy for him to see his dad pardon me.. getting off by himself. MOMOTARO even tried to mate with Gentaro 😭 Both Zoo's need to put Gentaro and Annie together ASAP! They both are Sweet and Loving Gorillas who were raised by humans in the first year of their lives. ❤🦍🦍❤

Believe me , I visited them 3 weeks ago . And I was very impressed how much is cleaning 🧼 the closures . this video was record in morning, they just woke up and the keepers are preparing they breakfast outside. So they go to outside for the breakfast, and doors are closed , so the keepers can cleaning the enclosure.
I am starting to hate this family and think it is time they move Kiyo it is uncomfortable to watch because he doesn’t really treat Annie as a baby sister or Ai as a sister he treats them as potential mates and wants to take over the troop from Shabani the females are always Chasing after Shabani and screaming at him but Kiyo comes to mate and they are eager it’s horrible to watch done watching this troop

Their enclosure needs a cleaning look at how dirty the rooms and walls are I see feces on the walls...😢
