Salem is really the one that got away for me. I am completely obsessed with witches and the Salem trials, and thus this show was my LIFE! My mom and I watched this show for a while until she grew bored of it and stopped watching it so I did as well. I think about it so much and I watch the trailer every now and then. I really need to watch this show again. IF you haven't watched this show: it's everything and more. watch it!

It definitely doesn't hold out on the witch action and it's got the undead/zombies,blood,wicked spells,dead bodies,necromancy and all kinds of fucked up horror scenes that had me totally absorbed into it. one of the best shows ever.... i love witches and this show was done with serious drama and amazing visuals, it wasnt like a cheesey witch movie or show. so well done. season 2 was INCREDIBLE!!!!!
When making this series, I hope that the producer knew that the "witches" who were actually hanged in Salem in 1692 were not actual witches, but innocent people on whom many saw the opportunity to laid blame upon, often for reasons such as potential land gain by the death of the victim or simply saw this as a tool for vengeance. From this trailer, I see that it erases any progress society has made in proving the illegitimacy of the witch trials and is really a slap in the face to all the innocent victims who were hanged in 1692 Salem for wrongfully being accused of witchcraft.
Not right. In Salem series we see that the most of the hanged/burned victims were innocent. As the true witches hanged around with power and cunning politics. Also the real danger for humanity was the puritans not witches. In Salem Masachusets there is a shop till our days with occult and witchcraft tools. The true story was that the people that got hanged and burned by the puritans were also pagans real indigenous of America. Indians and also white people. Old healers botanilogists and pharmakeis and land owners. Thats why they got killed by using christianity as a blackmail weapon
i got curious while listening to life after Salem in lil Nas's album. And i googled Salem. Saw the series, searched for history of Salem, got intrigued. And here i am
First episode was great! However, little details like welded grates over the building windows and balconies..oops..not until 1881, before that it was forge welding during the 1600's and you can see the nice electric arc welds on those iron grills! ;-)

Dany Gilbert There have been shows (or at least one show that I can think of) that have been based during the Nazi era (not sure era is the right word) as well as movies and literature just like there have been shows, movies and literature about Salem and witches in general. People, as far as I'm aware, on the whole don't watch these shows and movies or read these books and believe that they are an accurate depiction. I honestly think you're overreacting and underestimating peoples' intelligence. Of course you're entitled to your opinion as is everyone else, and some people like this kind of show. Personally I think it looks like a poor man's American Horror Story but that's just from seeing the one trailer.

Uhmm this show is fascinating. It is what's called historical fiction. They took an event that actually happened that no one really touched before..it's unlike the vampire and werewolf shows/movies/books..it's a completely different thing. They are using real stories from history, names and all and they and vamped it up and made it a show worth watching. A lot of this is accurate and the only thing that they played on was the magic they made it real, it was unknown if it truly happened like this

There's some gore, not too scary, a good backdrop, amazing acting, good special effects. But if u like the idea of being born a witch then this show isn't for u. In this show witches are followers of the devil

I love when witches are actually portrayed as EVIL rather than teenage brats lol. I'll probably check it out. I wish the dialogue was more appropriate though! Seems to ruin the atmosphere
