Hi, I have a question about the adress, I live in Egypt and we don't have adress like the american adress system is bad if I dont fill all the adress boxes or does it have to be precise
You can put anything on the address lines. Street name, building number, estate or apartment complex name or PO BOX number. Anything will do. In the future, DHL or some other courier will hold any mail for you. However, in the initial stages all communication is through email, so email is very important.
As a citizen of Pakistan I wish I knew earlier cuz it’s not eligible right now due to higher people migrated to US in 2022 and now it’s not eligible till now but Ik I’ll be there soon Inshaallah
Thanks for the great video! Do we need to have the picture in strictly JPEG format or is the JPG format also acceptable? Are there any differences between JPEG and JPG?
You can use any format as long as the size and the photo requirements are met. If the format isn't correct, it will notify you and the form can not be submmited! Best wishes!
I thought we needed to submit a photo or PDF of our high school or college diploma, but I guess that's not the case? Do we just need to click the button for our level of education?
No you do not need to submit any documents (except photo) at this moment. Only after you are selected you might have to present the documents so make sure all the information provided is correct and you can verify it later (if required). Thanks.
I don't have a certificate. When i registering for a DV lottery. So what level of education should I choose? high school, no degree or if high school, degree
Hello, when filling out the mailing adress, I provided the street and house number, but I forgot to include the apartment number. Will this result in disqualification? Also in the 'district/county/province/state' field, I wrote 'Lodz Voivodeship' in English, although in Polish we say 'Województwo Łódzkie.' How should I have written it, the Polish version or the English one?
The purpose of a mailing address is to ensure that any mail sent to it reaches you. As long as you can receive mail, that should be fine. We haven’t heard of any cases of disqualification for this reason. Best wishes to you!
That should be acceptable as long as it does not alter the natural appearance of the individual. However, if you ask for our suggestion, it's better to keep it simple because any photo without makeup or earrings is 100% accepted. So, wouldn't it be wise to take another photo rather than submitting one with doubts? Anyway, please review the guidelines for DV photos here: travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos/photo-examples.html
@@HeyLetsLearnSomething “You can put the address which can receive mails” I’m sorry but what do you mean by that what mails? How will my address receive mails? Please break it down for me 🙏
At the time of application, you do not need to submit any documents. Only if you are selected and need to further process you will require to provide the documents as mentioned in your form. Thanks.
For the DV photo, it's best to go with a plain shirt without any visible logos or brands. It keeps things simple and avoids any issues with the guidelines. Thanks.
For now, you only need to submit the application and keep the confirmation number safe. Only after the result is announced you can check the status (not now). All the best!
That is not required at the moment. You can apply from the spouse side too (one application in the name of Husband and other in the name of wife). Thanks.

No, you should not leave the place of birth blank. If the town you were born in isn't a city, simply enter the name of the town or village where you were born. Thanks.
Hello, thanks for showing us what this form looks like and for the quick explanation! But still, I have 2 questions :D 1) What if I am about to finish my uni degree (I still have a few - 7-8 months till I graduate) but I haven't finished yet. Should I select then only a high school degree or can I pick University degree because I will have that degree at the moment of the interview? 2) I am not married yet, but I will be within 1 year from now (kinda similar to that with Uni degree above). What should I choose? I'm asking because I want to take my spouse with me to the USA. Thank You in advance for your time and help, thanks for this video, have a lovely day! :3
Hi, here is the answer to your questions: Education: Please use your current degree, i.e., High School. You should answer based on your current status at the time of application, not what you will achieve in a year. Also, your chances of winning the lottery are the same whether you have a high school degree, a master's, or a PhD, so don’t worry about it-simply select "High School." Marital Status: If you are not married now, you should put your status as Single. As mentioned earlier, answer based on your current status. If selected, you can add your spouse to your case by updating your status before the interview stage. If you indicate you're married now but your documents show a marriage date a year later, this could negatively impact your interview, so ensure your information is accurate at the time of application. The final submission date is November 7th, so make sure to complete your application as soon as possible. Best wishes!
Thank You! But shouldn’t I rather pick something else than High School? There are options like Some University Courses or Some Graduate Level Courses or Some Doctorate Level Courses, so aren’t they closer to the truth?
@@damianadasik4033 You should select the degree you have already completed. For example, if you have graduated and have a completion certificate, choose that. However, if you are currently pursuing your graduation and expect to finish next year, you won’t have a completion certificate yet. Therefore, choose the highest level of education for which you currently hold a certificate, not the one you will get in the future. It’s like saying you’re employed when you’re still attending job interviews. People may leave education due to breaks, health issues, family obligations, or other reasons (you may not, but this is just an example). So, if you choose a graduation level you haven’t completed or don’t have a certificate for, and if the dates don’t match, it could lead to issues later. However, if you select the degree you’ve already completed (and have a certificate for), and by the time of the interview, you hold a higher degree, it will be an added advantage. As mentioned earlier, this is a lottery system, so choosing a specific education level doesn’t increase your chances. However, selecting a level you haven’t achieved could cause problems if you’re selected. Hope this clarifies things.
Hi. You can leave it blank if your mailing address is your own and you're the one receiving mail at that address. However, if someone else is responsible for receiving your mail or you're using someone else's address (e.g., a family member, friend, or company), you would put their name in the "In Care Of" field. Thanks.
You do not need a document at the time of submission - make sure you enter the right DOB. Later, if selected, you can present your Passport or National ID etc for it.
The instructions clearly state to only mention children who are unmarried and under the age of 21, so you can leave that section empty. You should submit an application for yourself and have your child submit a separate application. Best of luck! Entire family on application: When registering, you must list your spouse and all of your unmarried children under the age of 21 including stepchildren and adopted children under the age of 21 at the time of application. (Ref link: np.usembassy.gov/2026-diversity-visa-program-opens/ )
If I'm single person and i choose in question number 13 unmarried, and question number 14 number of childrens i left it blank without put ( 0 ) is there any problems if i left it blank ? Because i mentioned in number 13 that im not married
If you're still in university and haven't completed your degree yet, you should select the option that reflects your "current educational status" and not the one that will be completed in a year. Thanks.
To our understanding, this is purely a lottery program. If you meet the basic education requirements, are from an eligible country, and have a proper photo, your chances of being selected are the same as anyone with a Master's or PhD. In Question No. 5, you need to state the country where you were born. This is important because your country of birth typically determines your eligibility for the DV program. You can check the provided link to see if your country of birth is eligible. For example, if you were born in Country A but are currently living in Country B or have citizenship in Country B, your eligibility is still based on the country where you were born (Country A), and you will need to choose Country A. ------------------- In Question No. 6, if you were born in an eligible country, you can simply answer "Yes" and choose the country of your birth. In some countries, the address system may not be reliable, meaning that mail does not always reach the home address (as it typically does in countries like the USA or Australia). In such cases, you can obtain a PO Box, which provides you with a specific address and number to receive mail reliably. If your address can receive mail without issues, a PO Box is not necessary. What mean PO BOX?
In some countries, the address system may not be reliable, meaning that mail does not always reach the home address (as it typically does in countries like the USA or Australia). In such cases, you can obtain a PO Box, which provides you with a specific address and number to receive mail reliably.
If your address can receive mail without issues, a PO Box is not necessary. Thanks.

I accidentaly closed the window after I applied how can I recover it?
Did you submit the form? If you submitted the form and received a confirmation number, but lost it, you will not be able to recover it immediately. However, you can still retrieve the confirmation number once the results are out.
If you have not submitted the form, you can reapply. Do not submit the form twice if you have already done so, as this will lead to disqualification.
You can check this video to retrieve the confirmation number in the future: ua-cam.com/video/oL_8JTH4xgU/v-deo.html

What about question 6
In Question No. 5, you need to state the country where you were born. This is important because your country of birth typically determines your eligibility for the DV program. You can check the provided link to see if your country of birth is eligible.
For example, if you were born in Country A but are currently living in Country B or have citizenship in Country B, your eligibility is still based on the country where you were born (Country A), and you will need to choose Country A.
-------------------
In Question No. 6, if you were born in an eligible country, you can simply answer "Yes" and choose the country of your birth. In the above example, you would select Country A.
You should select "No" only if the country you were born in is not eligible for the program, and you are claiming eligibility through another way, such as:
Your spouse’s country of birth if they were born in an eligible country, or
Your parents' country of birth under specific conditions if neither of them were born in or were residents of your birth country.
Please read the "Explanation of Country of Eligibility" link on the form for more details about these exceptions.
