- Welcome everyone to my review of the new Honda HR-V.
Only in its third generation, the HR-V has been a small to medium sized crossover for the Japanese brand. Offering quirky looks, practical body and a good driving experience.
For this new generation of HR-V, Honda have ditched both the Diesel engine and manual gearbox. Gone with a full petrol/hybrid setup.
Hope you enjoy.....
Another brilliant review, well done.
The floor area of the HR-V is identical to the Skoda Yeti boot. I asked Thomas of Autogefeul to actually measure boots of cars he revues. So he now does which is much more sensible than quoting Litres, which means not a lot to most people.
Great review. Definitely interested in this car
It’s an incredible good car I don’t have but I’m certainly interested in getting it
This HR-V has been clocked by Carwow, using electronic timing equipment at 8.9 seconds 0-62, which, having owned mine for 10 months. I would agree with. why Honda let themselves down quoting an inaccurate speed is surprising.
I would agree that the sound deadening is NOT sufficient.
Another point. This car DOES NOT have a CVT Gear box. It has no gearbox as such it is a dog clutch that locks the transmission when the ICE is required to drive the wheels directly.
Why it doesn't put a smile on his face I don't understand. In SPORT mode it most certainly will!! Acceleration id phenomenal!
What MPG do you get?
I’d read somewhere that more recent models from 2023 had better sound deadening?
Good car Great review
Quality video. Tried to order this exact car but I’ve been told it’s been discontinued already!
I have just ordered one this week! your dealer is having a Larf!
yes the launch was in february 2022 and discontinued in september 2022 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 some customers are still waiting to receive them 🤣🤣
Man did you go to the Honda stand or Toyota 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great review m8. Thank you.
You’re very welcome Hakan. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Great review. I will buy this car.
Hi there Trust. I’m glad you enjoyed the review and I hope I answered any questions you might have about the HR-V.
Great car, very sexy!
Woww superb review 👌🇵🇹
Thank you Antonio. I am glad you enjoyed the review
I don't understand anything when you're inside sorry.
That’s ok. I do make sure I’m clear with what I say to help viewers out.
This is superb review, Dave. The importance of those rear seats for disabled drivers… a strong dose of common sense from the manufacturer. More disability awareness would be a great thing in the motor industry. It is a handsome car too. The EV should be a big hit, if the price and range are good. Thank you.
Just watched your review, and I have just ordered the exact car you are reviewing, including the colour scheme. This will be my first Honda, and has been chosen after an extensive review of this sector. I found your review very honest and informative, and mirrors exactly what I thought when I had an extended test drive of the car. I agree that this car will be a popular choice. Thank you.
Wish all reviews were this comprehensive.
👍
I'm sorry to hear they are not but that means you just need to come back to me for more reviews/
Most comprehensive review i seen!!!
Ordered my advanced grey coloured HRV a month ago and still will be waiting at least 9-10 months! Hope i enjoy it.
Greetings from Greece.
Thank you very much for your comment.
I am happy you enjoyed the review and hope these 9 months go quickly for you and you get to enjoy your HR-V.
excellent review of the best I've seen, I escaped the dark colors I bought the HR V Advance Platinium White Pearl with black roof and mirrors ... I'm amazed, brilliant purchase 😁👌🇵🇹
Oh for a hoover.
Great review, very informative cheers!
Good car Great review
Hi, great video. Can I add 12v accessories like an amplifier just like any other 12v car system? Do I just run a positive wire from the front battery and ground where necessary? Or does the hybrid system make this not possible? Thanks again
It seems strange that the interior is lacking quality and functionality. I have ordered the Civic Hybrid ( Advance) and for a similar price you get a lot more for your money. Not sure why manufacturers do this.
Great Video, thanks. Now I will love to see your video about the new Corolla Cross which I believe is exactly the same sweet spot. Looking forward for it, and keep up with the good job.
Regarding the 1.5L petrol engine fuel system - is it port or direct injected? If it is direct injected then ... sorry but this neans lot of issues ...
Shocking. I spend all my time feeling my soft dashboard.
Real world mpg?
Best hrv review so far well done
Great review Dave. Im looking at this model and comparing to the X Trail and Tucson. I know the boot is smaller but there is something really nice looking about the HRV and also it's quirkiness compared to the others.
Hey there Mark.
Thank you for your comment. The HR-V is definitely the quirkiest of the 3. Please feel free to check out my review of the Tucson. Both current and previous generation. Also (spoiler alert) I have the new X-Trail arriving next week so I’d be happy to liaise about my experiences with that car too. Thanks.
Dave.
Far too big a car compared to the original . It's as bad as the latest Toyota Rav 4. Started off a good size and it's now a monster size.
Too many manufacturers forget parking spaces have not got any bigger. What happened to the supermini ?
Thank you for this very good video! Objective, no-nonsense, technically accurate. Bravo!
You are most welcome and thank you for the comment.
What’s the name of the colour? Is it blue?
It’s Midnight Blue Beam
Can you please tell me how many miles per tank Honda hrv can run?
It has been a while since I had the HR-V but I believe it was around 350 miles.
@@AutoBears thank you for your reply
What colour is this?
Good work Dave!
Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it.
The Sound is very poor.
Hey there John. Thanks for the comment. Yes the engine noise can be very intrusive.
Great review, right up until the covid advice at the end 🙄
What was wrong with the Covid advice at the end?
