India is NOT yet ready for caravans. It won't succeed. I have been caravaning for 22 years now. Its' very expensive to build RVs in India and then to operate its very expensive.

To all those saying it is too costly, basically they need to understand that it is not for every day travel, but for those who want an 'Experience'. You have hotels were you can stay for 1000 bucks per night, but also there are hotels which charge you a fortune, and are still running successfully.
Something to know, this is a luxury caravan for the experience. Enthusiasts builds caravan from scratch and love to travel with it.

15k is very high a price even for whatever uniqueness it has to provide in its experience. A fair priice would be 8-9k at max.
You can get even cheaper but then quality can be a big question. If you can't afford that doesn't mean its expensive. Its not a cab!

I think the point here is it can be used for travelling for a full family of say 5 atleast. Can be used for staying so no hotel bills ... But again diesel cost will add up. So it will be worth to get an overall understanding of the cost.
also we can cook so reduce food cost
Don't expect it to be cheaper than staying in hotels.
Many of us hold a burger by practicing wrong method. I searched on net that how to properly hold a burger before we eat and amazed to know it. Caravans, motorhomes, campers are now gaining good popularity but will take lot of time to become our lifestyle because some people it's a costly affair but nomads/travelers may prefer it as an option to make a stay at a hotel.

I agree, it will long time before we really understand what is caravan culture and becomes lifestyle. I have been caravanning for 22 years in India! I have done more than 1,75,000 kms of caravaning in India in self made caravans. And I can boast of that I have done more than 40 trips of 4 to 6 months each. My first trip of 6 months was when we had a lap baby of 6 months, we travelled 12,000 and 6 months. We Indians are not cut for adventure and outdoors! But now we are waking up.

The worst thing about camper van in India is lack of van parks and dump stations. Without them we cant do trips at all. Its better to take a comfortable SUV on roads and book hotel every night .

Practical issue
I have been caravaning for 22 years, have done 1,75,000 kms and more than 40 trips of 4 to 6 months each. It's not everyone's cup of tea. We want to do it for glamour whereas its totally a different culture and concept made for those who love outdoors. In India we are very far from caravan parks.
We do have RV campsites and resorts with reasonable prices in jaipur, pune, ladakh, delhi etc.. but if we can get them in all major towns and cities in India, these RV trips will increase a lot

In 15,000 one can do 1 week himachal/uttrakhand backpacking trip including round trip flight. Even 1 night charge for Taj/Radisson is less than 15k 😃😃

@@vsat2001 kabhi RV ki price dekh liyo. Isko banane ka cot he $150000 ya $400000 hota hain, iss range mein. Aur iske operator ko voh apni zindagi mein recover nahi karna, jaldi recover karna hain. Agar isme 3 log rahe toh per head 5000 bas, upar se apan kidhar bhi jaa sakte, waterfall ke side mein khudka ek type ka hotel room bana sakte hain
15K is not per person. If you have 4 friends and go to places and you dont need to pay for hotels and travel. You cant move Taj to every place you want. 😃😃. It depends on how you plan the trip. And also these are for the people who can afford this kind of Luxury.

How a d where to drain toilets Water, feeling water tank, how much fuel and maintenance will it take to run AC and all luxury..
Caravan travel and holidays are so common here in Australia. People buy/rent caravans after a certain age. You save a lot of money in hotels.. just drive your own caravan for months and do camping! There are caravan parks/ camping parks here where you can park the caravans at night to sleep. The aged groups do this kind of travel a lot and its very verycheap to rent a caravan unlike in India.
I personally have never travelled as we have young kids , but once we retire have plans to do a caravan trip to cover the Northern and Western part of Austrila may be in 1-2 months. How exciting that would be:)

Very true! I have been caravaning in India for 22 years in self made 2 RVs. It's viable only if you wish to travel for long periods. It's very expensive to build an RV in India and then to operate. Above all it's not easy in India for want of caravan parks.
For the 5 minutes of this video, I felt like I found a new thing to add on my bucket list, then I thought bhai apane ko itna ghumna pasand to kab tak gadi rent pe lete rahenge, jab bhi jamega ek kharid hi lenge 😂

Caravan/motohome are for personal family of 4-6 this is good but cost sound a bit higher. Let's consider a suv Or car cost 5k for 1.5k km, hotel 2-3nights around 2.5k per night overall 10-12k for 2-3days...where as 15k per day caravan is on higher side unless this is for pleasure trip for Batchelor n ganga of friends who can share isn't cost
Venkat dont consider only South Indian hotels think about outside states too generally in North with a safe parking fir yr car and room service it will cost minimum 3500/- to be on safe side and wouldn't want to park on rhe road just becos the hotel is cheap
It's not expensive at all. It's quite expensive to build a caravan and then operational costs.
But the Awkward thing I find in Every Caravan Home Built in India is they are having the Rest Room opposite to the Kitchen,Which is NOT the case in German Design,Have to learn from Germans.
We are very far from Germans! Caravan is part of their blood, it's a culture. I have built my Overland Truck which has kitchen outside and toilet inside.

Comparing to hotel room it has meny limits.secondly best toom available with breakfast in no more than rs. 4000/par day and can add 2 members easily of some more cost.maxmim rs.8000/ and minimum 300 km.par day is better.atharwise very rear costomers.
