They needed to etch the face of 70s version of the GI Joe ( the one with the beard) on the grip.
Mine became a casualty. He couldn’t hold his service weapon. The fingers eventually broke off after using them. Then you have a GI Joe with a disability. Amputated fingers. 😢 GI Nub. 😭
Ed Bradley from 60 Minutes is who they made the face from.
What do you call a vegetable who knows kung fu?
Broc Lee.
It's a little late for Father's Day, but that's an awesome dad joke
Never gets old.
Actually it's Bloc Ree!
Yes Grasshopper.
I own 3 and have gifted 3 to friends and they all like it... worth your pennies.
Nice grip.
I find 10°-14° angle to be optimal for my wrists when using a _compact_ platform.
Obviously this varies from person to person. However, the science remains the same.
In fact, the biomechanics behind various grip angles is actually quite fascinating. It can also be a rabbit hole. You quickly discover why the A2 grip was adopted. Which gives you even a greater perspective into the world of grip angles and even the doctrine at that time.
Nevertheless, grips and muzzle devices are my preferred products for experimentation when it comes to parts and accessories. I find that those two items tend to produce the most dramatic results when you interchange them.
They [grips, muzzle devices, etc.] are the equivalent of bolt-on performance parts for your hot rod. Compared to the gains when building the internals of your motor/firearm. [IE - BCGs, barrels, buffers, etc.]
Great presentation as always, Caleb.
Stay classy my friends.
Really like the grip. I wish they had a XL version with more palm swell in the back and a bit longer with a flare at the bottom.
I emailed DFCO about making an XL and the owner said an XL is in the works
@@SaucyNuggs_2313 great
They'll call it the Fist 👊 of Fury
Yes! The palm is too skinny, and the vertical texture lines are worthless! As soon as I got mine out of the cool packaging and into my hand, i was immediately disappointed.
One of the many reasons I go with BCM gunfighter Mod 1 or 2s. Similar relaxed grip angle and much bigger palm swell. Texture is also very grippy.
Since my upper body happens to have the Swivel-Arm Battle Grip I should be able to hold this in some cool and realistic poses
Interesting! It never ceases to amaze me how someone can improve on "perceived" perfection. Thanks!
Tackpac had one in their box last year and it is now on my AR-308 and it works great.
Got one. Love it. Big fan. Will be on all builds from now on..
wonderful review
Sounds like a great product. Hello from SouthWest Louisiana
I have enjoyed undercut trigger guards on my 1911s, and I bemoaned the lack of a similar solution for the AR platform. This looks like it might just what I am looking for.
Might also be worth looking into the BCM gunfighter Mod 1 or 2. The mod 0 just doesn't have a beavertail built in. But those are personally my go to.
@@CrashRacknShoot I have that BCM Mod 2 on two rifles. It isn't too bad on the updated lower, but could be better. It causes a low hold (for me) on the old style lower. Arthritis is the problem requiring an undercut.
@@jstpsgthru ah, gotcha. Well, that's the beauty of a free market, I'm sure there's something out there that'll work better. Maybe this is it!
Nice, 15% off all of Brownells.
looking forward to trying that. Thanks
LOL,,, Caleb, you missed your calling... your a great. Comedian!!!
Have these on my ar and my pcc love it
I need this on my next AR build
installed one of these on my AR-V and love it. Took a little getting used to, but i feel my wrist is at a more natural angle now.
Can you do a run down on the different options on AR upper holding devices? I need one for changing out muzzle devices. I want quality but extreme overkill is probably not cost effective.
I use an otis manufacturing lock block, it cost $100, usa made and work s great👍 The Midwest industries one had a bunch of good reviews but was $50 more at the time. The geissele one had mostly meh reviews and was even more expensive.
Love them. Impatiently waiting for a vertical foregrip from them
If you had questions about durability why not just take one and hammer it around some ?. Do you honestly think any manufacturer of anything is gonna say their product sucks ?.
I'm gonna do an honest interview. This grip induces palm fatigue. It's a very uncomfortable angle, heavy on the palm, and the bottom of the grip digs into your pinky. The finger grove makes no sense unless you have short finger. My average size finger is too long to fit. There's a hollow gap that's harder to hold on. I really wanted to like this grip, but it ended up being the most uncomfortable grip I own.
Love this grip. I got two of em. My wrists don’t hurt as much with these. I messed up my wrists sparring on deployment.😅 excited for their tiger claw.
YES!
I just bought old used A-1 grips.😱
Hey man, it works and is a stick to grip that helps put rounds down range. If it works for ya, go for it. You get the bonus of getting about 5-10 of those for the price of one of these lol
Hmmm.... Might have to try one.
I installed one on one of mine and at first blush, didn't care for it a whole lot, but it's probably just because I'm used to something like a Magpul K2+, which I like much better. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Looks like a decent product I prefer to run short stock I think I might look into one of these thank you Caleb
Gos i need a fightlite. Been trying forever.
It's a little bit short for me. It is very nice, it just needs a little bit more length and a bit of thickness.
The palm area is way too thin and needs better texture.
This is why we are releasing a Kung Fu XL... stay strong... it is coming.... THE DFCO BOYS
Can you snatch this pebble from my hand grasshopper?
How does the grip angle compare to Magpul K2, BCM Gunfighter, B5, etc - all those other grips that are more vertical?🤔 If we stop putting A2 grips on everything, then it's not an M16 anymore, so it's not a machine gun. Maybe we can convince them that more vertical pistol grips keep the cyclic rate on bump stocks below 600 rounds a minute, if using the 200 round magazine.😉😂😂😂 If we start calling suppressors "un-loudeners", do you think we can keep them?😁
They ain’t taking our un-loudeners! Not now that they shortened up the approval times and thus added a whole bunch of enthusiastic new owners to the cool kids club!
just ordered 3 of the FDE ones cause have seen em and heard u rave about em just always forgot to order one. i went through them directly is the only issue you will have with me probably lol but I've been holding out ordering from yall directly cause i need more alumahyde in FDE and its been out of stock for months with no restock emails so i hope to GOD yall havent Discontinued the best rattlecan finish available IMO, and i still need some to finish my last project with lol hope yall get some more in soon and thanks for all the vids and info as always
Welcome to the party !
I have one, seems nice but fitment was off, wouldn’t go onto my stripped aero lower for anything.
Definitely want to get a few of these!
HIIII-YA! 💥👋🏼🥋
When you do try it you'll start describing it as fuiyoh
@@GraciousTinkerer 🤣
4:44 if you want the best part of the video
I dig em. Some guns don't quite feel right depending on the trigger guard. They're shorter than magpul enough to feel it and a bit fatter. The middle finger groove is surprisingly comfeh. Cozy even
Curious how this compares to the Edgar Sherman Design Granite grip, which I’m really liking so far. My hands are roughly L sized for gloves or slightly smaller.
ESD Pebble grip with the coarse texture is pretty nice as well.
Granite is a nice grip for sure. Took me a minute to get used to but I like it now
I am more interested in the belt box that was on the 2nd rifle. I need to go to the Brownells YT archive to see if that has already been covered and I missed it.
Mil-Spec A2 forever!
I saw someone had these on sale, this past weekend. And I was thinking to myself... "Self, I ghink this is Caleb Savant's new favoritist AR pistol grip! I should try one out!" But I didn't, because I wasn't sure! 😢
Now I know it was...
MAYBE Brownells will have a super sale, and I will pick one up for a new Pistol build!?
Love you
I tried to like it. It is pretty terrible for one hand manipulation. I went with the BCM mod 3. DiefreeCo lives in the misc box.
Good copy, could you add a little more context ? We Appreciate the feedback sir !
I tried one. They just don’t fit my hand very well. I have found that I really like the MK Machining Vertical Crossover Grip.
Appreciate that feedback. We are releasing a grip plug to add storage for your skitttles and other stuff&things and will also provide a little extra material for the hand... We also plans to have a Kung Fu XL grip releasing later on this summer.
Installed my first one yesterday, I’m so late to the party 😂 Going to replace my BCM Gunfighter grip next asap
Grip it and Rip it !
I found the ergos with the finger groove really weird. My hand feels more comfortable with Edgar Sherman Design, BCM, Reptilia, Thrip, etc. Would love to see a future version of the Kung Fu grip without the finger groove
I think you need a couple wraps of goon tape on that Kung fu grip. Angle is nice and I bet it lends to very quick semi-auto fire.
What is the angle on John Brownings 1911?
My neighbor got one, I held it…..no thanks! I will keep my B5!
B5 makes a great grip as well. Maybe we can win you back one day ! We are releasing a grip plug for the Kung Fu grip and a Kung Fu XL !.....
They need to offer a grip plug for it.
based
What is that casually stored back in the safe? Nice silent flex 💪😄
It all comes back to finger grooves.
The Brad Paisley of firearms
Same as the Magpul K grip I already have....
I won one on an online stream live...... haven't even open it yet....
I know Kung fu.
Show me.
PROVE IT....
Semper Fu - i been begging u to do a vid on this for weeks now Caleb!! say it again Kung Fu grip - Yo Joe! r/s USMC ret
Ps.. no joke, I just bought an ODG one for my Griffin MK@ build.. cant make this up
A3 tActical xeno grip. Had the BCM on one and the kung fu on the other... tried the xeno and now both guns have xenos and the bcm and kung fu are hanging in the toy box
The infamous unobtainium, always oos grip. 😂
No storage in the grip?? I do like keeping spare red dot battery and maybe small tool if needed.
Tiger Paw coming SOON!!!! Wait maybe I shut my mouth so I can get one
I prefer the hogue grip. Nothing feels better in my opinion.
That is a great option. What do you like most about it ?
@DIEFREECO
I like the overmolded part of mine. It seems to grip better.
Three weeks ago, I was looking for a new grip. It was down to the Kung-fu grip and the Strike Industries enhanced overmolded grip. I went with the Strike grip because it was a mix of rubber and plastic. Maybe, that would be another idea for you all to try out.
Do they have a plug for the bottom? Storage? Contoured with the back angle to fill it? Thanx
I stuffed a B5 Systems grip plug in mine, it’s tighter than prom night but will slide in if you spit on it.🤠
Kong fu is a great name
name is a gimmick!
How does that compare to magpul's?
Can we talk about the at-4 in the safe
Do they make a rubberized?
seriously...
where can i buy a cut-a-way AR like the one used in this video?
Would like to see a plug in the bottom of it.
I don’t like mine. Why is the front of the grip where your fingers wrap around it wider than the back where your palm sits? It’s backwards and uncomfortable. Also, the texture on the back sucks. It needs to be way more aggressive like the sides and front to provide more leverage when the gun must be held up with one hand. The grip angle and cool aesthetic are all this has going for it IMO. Get the Thril RTG instead.
Isn't that the badger ordinance grip?
3:33 Rick and Morty?
I spy with my little eye... A Rocket Launcher!!!!
My girlfriend also has a kung fu grip
Sublime is a terrible band
@@joshs.5623 your mom sure likes them
HA ha HA
I hate that it’s not a forward assist 😂
Oh look another product that’s not needed for the consumers to be separated from their money with.
How's the angle compare to the magpul k-2?
A bit steeper, the K2 is a 17 degree.
@@brownells And what is the kung fu angle?
@@Russianmafia10 12 degrees
@@brownells thanks! I'll have to get one to try it out
So if I get the "Kung Fu Grip" will I get the life-like hair too, since I'm kinda bald..🤔😆
Infomercials now I guess.
We've been running Product Spotlight videos on this channel for 17 years.
Nein. Nein. Nein.
Meh, seems great, especially on an SPR where you want that steep angle for precise shot placement. But just wait until you need to wield your weapon with one hand. At that point you start to learn that these grips are not good for manipulation of the carbine with one hand. It makes a mess
hahahaahhaah KUNG FU GRIP !
A video about a kung fu grip, and Caleb is wearing plaid.
Those guns look like they’ve never been shot before.
Dated a girl with that grip once.
Let a Boomer try them out pls!😂😂😂😂
Its names like that that ensure no one will buy it.
Okay, fudd.
I bought one for Father's day.
Has Afro Samurai on the packaging....so your already wrong. Happy Monday cheese wiener!
Worked pretty good for Hasbro!
The recoil of an ar warrents a front grip for sure.
If you are a gay.
Come on man it’s front grip pride month
You may just be joking. But in case you’re not, it’s not about recoil. It’s about getting a more comfortable grip angle, keeping the muzzle as flat as possible, and having more authority/stability when maneuvering the rifle.
@@CasuallyCareening THIS. Notice he can't spell. Probably lives in his mom's basement.
Probably one of the gays himself…
It's the ugliest grip I've ever seen.
I love the grip, like I replaced most of the grips on my rifles with them… But I just wish they felt sturdier, they feel kinda thin and flimsy.
