I worked for a drilling company for 14 years and some of the ignorant comments have made me respond. In my area (California) this was known as cable tool drilling and was how all deep wells were drilled until rotary rigs came out. The donkey was not overloaded, PVC casing is light and the guys could have carried it just as easy. (Not sure why they didn’t, rigging the donkey seemed like more work) While tying the electric cable together is unconventional, it can be done with stranded wire. An electrical tape splice was standard in the US until waterproof heat shrinks were invented. Tape splice instructions used to be included in the Franklin AIM manual. Heating plastic pipe with a torch and securing it with a hose clamp is how it’s still done today in the US. It will NOT fall off. In fact, the problem is trying to remove it for service/replacement. While this work is obviously not up to US code requirements, that does not mean it isn’t fully functional.

I just wonder why 85% of the poor countries in the world are Muslim, the rest live off oil but they have never built an industry, why not???
The worst pump instal I have ever see,electrical connections were not correctly sealed with wire shrinks and the water hose connection to pump was a disaster.This well will not last long.
@@stiphbreis5513 The logic in that is that you should dig your well at the top of a mountain, and it is down hill all the way to all that need it. If it is a well, it will still need to be pumped up.
I was looking at the video for about 25 minutes, anxiously waiting to see the completion of the job, and to see if water was going to be pumped out of the ground. And then I look at the man riding the poor donkey which weights as much as the man, and then the donkey being overloaded with the piping, and immediately I knew that these people are inhumane and the phrase "cruelty to animals" came to my mind. That's when I stopped watching this video in disgust.
At 26:40 you can see little slits cut in the pipe, I think, though I am not sure that was the optimal way to do it I guess it works. The pipe is just casing to protect the hole, there is no need for hermetic joining, the deep well pump is connected directly to its own hose.

I think the main idea was to show that can be done in rural areas with basic items and means, includding the donkey.

Скорее всего они остановились углубляться в слое где нет глины (камень, гравий, и т.п.) так что обходятся без фильтра.
