      By the way I used a forstner bit in a drill press to cut the holes in the handle and D-ring loops, as I do not own a hole punch that matches the O.D. of 1/2 inch copper pipe, which I believe is about 0.625 inch. Worked ok, had to do a bit of cleanup on the back side but it didn't tear out much.

    Tony! Bravo yet again! One thing you may want to explore- I will be threading the ends of my tube and using screw on caps! You can get Stainless Steel "DOM" tube that would be awesome for Pen storage or "Other" items... The verdigris I would not enjoy staining the leather- Or you could go ULTRA with Titanium tubing with an anodized finish!
    Bravo yet again- Bravo. You should offer the accessories through your store- or affiliate links in the pattern through Amazon! Just a thought- I know its often frustrating to find a great pattern- and not be able to get the buckles or accessories.

    • @chrisward6296
      @chrisward6296 5 років тому +1

      I believe that he airbrushes darker dye around the edges to give it that pre-aged look. Have a look here for a good example of the process: ua-cam.com/video/h6NS3YG2M08/v-deo.html

      Great question. I can't believe he wouldn't show us if he airbrushes stuff. In the video, he wets the edges that fold 90 degrees. On dyed veg/latigo leather, would that dry a different color that makes that 2 tone effect. Or is it just the oil dyed pull up effect?

    Hello! Quick question: What is the pattern piece that says, "Cut this to your preferred length?" Is this the shoulder strap? If so, do you have a suggested length for a tall (6'2") guy? Also, is there a place in the video where you use this piece? Or is there a place in the instructions?

  • @awildeep

    Tony, your instructions call for pipe in MM, but in the US we can't get to that nominal size. Would a 1/2 inch (12.7mm), or a 3/4 inch (19.05mm) pipe work? I assume there would be too big a gap on with 1/2 inch, and that the 3/4 would not fit in the gap. Also, finding metric dowels isn't the easiest. I'd love to hear any solutions people have come up with.

    • @awildeep
      @awildeep 4 роки тому

      Would a 5/8 inch (15.875mm) dowel work for this design?

    • @twinfore
      @twinfore 2 роки тому

      1/2 copper pipe in the us is .625" and 15mm converts to .590". So a difference of .035 I think 1/2" copper pipe would work just fine.
