Humble guy, but it seems he didn’t really love being a football player he just didn’t wanna say it. But I can’t blame him, why destroy your body when you can retire young & enjoy life
Yeah he probably didn’t really have a love for the game. But I understand seeing that mass amount of money that he made and wanted to call it quits. No shame in that.
@@samba-footballhe was truly an incredible player during his time, I will say his professional career he had some big injuries that definitely affected his decision to retire. But I don’t blame him either, other guys will just power through the injuries and end up having to forcibly retire.

This pod is at its best when they are talking about football/soccer. It’s also better than the pod is on some sort of schedule, weekly, bi-weekly whatever. You started out strong at the beginning but now you’re inconsistent. Do better or you’ll lose listeners.
You're wrong, its great content whether its a soccer guest or not. Kate does a great job at drawing parallels between sports and getting the convo back and forth from the guest's sport (if the guest is a non-soccer athlete) back to soccer. Open your mind
