You seem like a very good friend. Very giving, generous, thoughtful. You deserve friends that are just the same. Look at people for what they are, not what you want them to be. Don’t hold on to anyone who’s not reciprocating your efforts. You don’t need friends that make mean jokes about you, or who never compliment you back. As painful as it might be, if you let all those people go, it won’t be long until new, better friendships will come into your life. Be ruthless with cutting wrong people out because the longer you keep them around, the worse your self esteem is going to be.

😍 I was also obsessed with my Grandma who died too young. I still think about how wonderful she was. My Grandfather was wonderful too and left a long lasting legacy and he died shortly after her. I am lucky enough to have had a “second mum” nanna. I am so grateful that they taught me that I can’t see the beauty in them but deny the beauty in myself (we were 3 generations of “copy and paste” genetics).
