Bayonetta 2 - Rodin Boss Fight

- Think of Rodin as the "True Final Boss" of Bayonetta 2.
The strategy I use in the video is the easiest I've found. This is only the third time I killed him, mind you, so I still have much to refine.
Sometimes he does nothing but the stomp move and his other basic attacks, in which case you can probably take no damage and show off to all your friends. However, every time that happened, he killed me right at the very end, so this fight looks very sloppy.
I tried to beat Rodin with Rosa on Wii U, but she died too quickly. I finally defeated him using Jeanne by following the UA-camr Urser's method: All 4 One + Alruna for phase 1, then All 4 One + Agni for phase 2 with the accessories Eternal Testimony + Infernal Communicator equipped. Her longer Witch Time (about 3 full seconds) and Wicked Weave damage bonus felt like a good balance between Bayonetta and Rosa's attributes, and allowed me to use hit-and-run tactics, which was important for the second phase when the death grab comes out in a split second. She has sufficient time to perform a PKP with the Alruna grab or the Agni slash in the middle even after using Crow Within first if she needs to close the distance. I recently beat him again on Switch with Jeanne using the Arwing lasers (they do more damage than bullets; the game does not tell you this) on hands and feet with the same accessories. The PKP, PPPKP and PPPKKK combos inflict very high damage per second because they tend to fire 2 or 3 guns at the target.
I lost it at the table flipping annotation, that's literally how everyone feels if you get hit in this game. XD Great video!

I DID IT WOOOOOOO!!!! So fucking happy right now! :D Thank you so much! The trick with her Umbran Armor failed horribly cuz his invincibility frames kept activating during his demon form. Glad I saw this. Thanks!
Congratulations on defeating him! I had exactly the same problem with the Umbran Armor trick, so I'm glad this method worked for you as well.
Dargonsouls I plan on playing through again on Infinite Climax, but I need to find a good weapon to combo with the Chain Chomp. I plan on using Rodin in one set and Chain Chomp with another weapon in the other set
