Not trying to victim blame but my God could you enable this GROWN man anymore. Stealing for years and just paying his debts like wtf. it sucks but he should have went to jail. If anyone else stole even 1/234567th of what he did you’d have pressed charges. The guy was in his 30s not some 13 year old kid. I punished my 7 year old harsher for spending $20 on Roblox.

As tragic as this is, they really should have seen this coming.

@@reptiqueen7275 Unless we are his family, we'll never really understand why they supported and/or put up with his selfish and illegal behavior for so long. When it's a member of your own family that is doing bad things, you want to help or protect them, even if it's seen as enabling their behavior.
This is because family loyalty is still a strong bond in our society, and family members often feel like they need to stand by their loved ones, no matter what. This is especially true when the family member is someone they grew up with and have known for a long time.

Unless we are Grant's family, we will never really understand why they tolerated his selfish and illegal behavior for so long. Even if it's seen as enabling their behavior, you want to help and protect your family members. It isn't easy to navigate, but it's important to remember that people have their own lives and make their own decisions. Ultimately, it's up to them to change if they want to.
Grant was never going to change his behavior, so any help his family tried to give him was wasted. Unless someone wants to change and be rehabilitated, it's pointless to force them. I do agree that they shouldn't have been as lenient with him. They should have punished Grant a little. It might have knocked some sense into him. But we'll never know. It's impossible to tell if punishing him would have made any difference. But it might have made him more aware of the consequences of his actions. It could have given him the motivation to change.
I feel sorry for Jason, the last remaining brother. His entire family has been annihilated, and it is his younger brother's fault. I hope he finds happiness in the future.

Why did the father and brother have guns near them? Were they arming themselves for protection in the house?

This is literally a similar situation my mom has gone tru with my brother. Its heart breaking seeing her live constantly worrying and fearing for his well being. Nothing has worked shes to the point where she thinks he would be better off being locked up in jail. But he's fled the country and he continues to go about his same habits

I have a serious feeling that was Grant imitating Chad when calling Cody and Grant texting Sloan back minutes later.

no, that’s called support. you need to do a deeper dive of what true enabling is. they were trying to get him PROFESSIONAL help for his mental health & literally aligned everything for him to just try & abide by. if you don’t like it, STOP listening. 😂

The cam girl is pretty fcked up too. This girl was told that he was lying and stealing all the money he was using on her and that he had a problem and to stop talking to him. But as soon as he has the chance to contact her again, she just accepts it and keeps enabling him.
I really wonder if these murders wouldve happened if she wouldve cut ties with him and blocked him.
Obviously its his fault for doing what he did, but you cant ignore the enablers.

This story also goes to show how terrible sex work is in general. Sure, most guys dont take the road of murder, but it destroys a LOT of men, and take advantage of them in the worst way possible. The excuse "well it makes me money" isnt valid either. Drug dealerz make a lot of money too, we dont make excuses for them, and sex is literally the exact system that drugs take advantage of.

    • @bbvaldez3086

I suppose the difference is the impact? Not every guy who talks to cam girls is going to kill everyone. But drugs are always going to cause serious physical harm. No one has ever died from watching too much porn. But you can absolutely die from a drug overdose
