Thanks for sharing! I'm currently in Brisbane thinking of making the permanent move to London. Do you see London as a long term city you would choose over Australian citys

That’s so exciting! Doing the same move that I did too from Brissy. Honestly I love it over here. There are of course drawbacks like needing to start building a life and making friends all over again, the cost of things here can feel ridiculous but after you start getting paid in pounds you will forget how bad the price is when you convert back to Aussie dollars, and also there is a somewhat constant battle in your head of ‘should I go home because I miss everyone there and dont want to miss out on anything’ versus ‘I can never imagine not living here this is my life now and I love it’. So it can be tricky at times. But as a city London is great, always stuff happening, you’ll meet so many different people, and of course Europe is on your doorstep so you can go to so many different destinations for a day or two when you’re not at work which I still find crazy. You definitely want to make sure you set yourself up in the right area for access to where you’re going to work, and so you know it’s a nice place to live with good amenities etc. But in summary yes I see London as a long term city, I’m not planning to head back anytime soon!

@@TheJdaBon Amazing! Thank you so much for your response i really appreciate it. Did you find it hard understanding the difference in income ? What income do you think a couple would need to earn in London to live a similar lifestyle as Australia

Wear earbuds and keep your phone in your pocket. If you choose carefully people will struggle to see that you are wearing earbuds and hands free functionality can be good.

Definitely agree! I always try to keep my phone in my pocket and if I need to check the map or reply to a message I always do it holding on tight, but like I said I can be a bit of a worrier about stuff like that, but so far so good!

Don't wear earbuds, walk without being distracted by a call or music. If you're not aware of your surroundings, look like your not focusing on where you're going, you're gonna be targeted. Develop your London radar, it's kept me out of trouble for the time that i lived there 02-08, and the times i now visit. Sadly, I've seen the city turn for the worse, and i lived in some crappy parts of London before.

Definitely think my London radar has been developing especially in the last couple of years, which has been helpful! Where abouts were you living over here? Do you come back often?
