What nonsense, how can you have a uniform for undercover police?
Maybe when they're going for operations in order to be identify upon getting to the place for searching etc.
They are not undercover, but rather Special police, or what we used to call Police Eliza in those days. They are used to inflate the size of the police, they are not allowed to carry arms, they only carry Buttons., used for crowd control, etc. They don't have investigative powers, they may arrest you, and hand you over to the real police.
