Every year, thousands of day-trippers and tourists visit the MAIN TOWER to enjoy the impressive view of Frankfurt’s skyline. Whereas the outer walls in many high-rise buildings are designed to be load bearing, the vertical load on the MAIN TOWER is borne by the core structure and exterior supports. This was the only way to realise the fully glazed façade. The MAIN TOWER is the first skyscraper in Europe to be built with a fully glazed façade. As a result, the building gives a far lighter and more transparent impression than conventional skyscrapers, which naturally fits in particularly well with the public character of the MAIN TOWER. The MAIN TOWER is not just a popular destination for excursions and a Frankfurt landmark, but it is naturally also a place where people work hard.
