Could you tell me how you re-sealed the windows? and where you found and purchased all of the seals from? Also, why truck bed liner for the paint? How was that process and would you recommend painting the vehicle with liner too or just the camper? How'd you rebuild the door? I know that I'm asking a lot of questions and you've likely moved on. But if you'd help me out that'd be insanely awesome. Love the work you've done.
Hi sorry this is late. I did a ton of research and found window gaskets online that fit perfectly and I used them along with silicone. I did the be liner because it was the easiest and most durable paint for me to use at the time. I wouldn't recommend painting the vehicle with bed liner though. I just took the whole door apart and rebuilt it with new wood and materials.
Could you tell me where you got your parts for the top to reseal everything and how long where is the tiedowns too when you drive down the road and come pop up
Unfortunetely I dont have any information on the pop top seal anymore but its the same design of the original seal with a metal groove to insert the lip of the roof into. The tie downs are the stock ones inside the camper, three in the front and two in the back.
Where did you source the seal for the pop top? I’m in the process of restoring my 74 I picked up. Aluminum on shell is good. My top seal is missing all the way around.
I found it online a couple years ago. I think someone on the chinook facebook page gave me the idea. I wish I still had the information where I got it specifically. The new one I put on ended up being larger than the original also.
