Hey Ashley :) I was a 23 weeker in 1994 and like Livi, I had a bunch of other health problems associated with the prematurity including cerebral palsy down my right side. I was in NICU for 132 days and on oxygen for my first 12 months and didn't even score on my apgar or car seat tests as the first I couldn't complete and the second they didn't even try. Double hernia and a couple of other surgeries were on the bill for me as well as a myrade of fevers and the such and I didn't learn to walk till I was two or cry till my first year was over. This may all sound grim but I just wanted to let you know that as i approach my 20th birthday in all of 4 days time, with no outstanding health problems bar the common cold and a fear of needles; that no matter what Livi goes through, she will fight her very best as we miracle babies all tend to do. You are an amazing mom to your little princess from what I have seen, and I can't wait to see an update in a few years time of a happy healthy little girl with the world before her. Have faith in yourself and all that you can do! -Charlie
Loosing twins must have been the worst experience in the world, one little life is bad enough but two tiny lives is breaking your heart, then stamping on the broken pieces...I hope they are gifted with more babies who are healthy
I was 1lb,11oz, they put me In a special isolent right away, I have a picture in on of my favorite books, ore in photo album, mom didn't get to hold me much just patted me on the back when I was on my tummy, on pic has a res. tube, iv, heart monitor, lung monitor, I had one Dr tell my parents I wouldn't live till past 3 days. My liver was 2/3 X it's normal size, it at one point was failing/ kidneys were failing at one point. I made it through 4days, a wk, 3wks, a month. Got off the res. In august. On 02 and feed g tu e for a bit when I was he for a bit maybe 2/3 months. Now in my 30s I do vol. work, run a jewelry business etc. I'm planning on a work trip don't know when yet.:)

Precious it's amazing how the fight to live is instilled in even the youngest of us... God is wonderful
