I won;t go so far as to say a "Ridge leftover", but I _do_ agree that Macy and Darla were better matches for him, especially Macy. Their singing together was actually very impressive, and it made a strong bond between their houses, a type of Romeo & Juliet beautiful thing.

The writers NEVER gave the character Thorne the proper development! Ingo totally SUCKS as Thorne! He needs to go back to GH! I like Thornton, but he’s HORRIBLE as Ridge! It just doesn’t work. The writers will eventually put him back with Quinn who is a perfect fit for him. Taylor should’ve chosen Thorne. She and her kids would’ve been FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR (times infinity) better off.

@@msrain1235 He cared about her. The writers from day one foolishly made Ridge out to be some extremely desirable irresistible man! Ron was and still is attractive. But, the way they wrote the character and his numerous loves was BEYOND ridiculous! He’s just like his stepfather Eric. It’s ALL about the pursuit and nothing else. I would like to see one of the first three actors to portray the role of Thorne to return to the show IF Bell Jr is no longer the writer.

@@yolondambrowm9803 He cared but it wasn’t a healthy love but lingered on obsession. His love for her stemmed from his rivalry and resentment for his brother and not from a healthy place. I didn’t like how they always kept trying to push her with Thorne in the later years forgetting how he would gaslight her for almost a year for her to stay with him back in the day. The pairing was never popular and Taylor was more into her other men (Nick, Whip even Rick ) than she ever was into him sadly. And they are too similar in nature, more of goody-goodys that doesn’t make for an exciting couple on TV.
