The problem with selling on ebay amazon fba is , you’ll still have to do marketing because ain’t nobody is going to randomly see your page. Also amazon and ebay takes high percentage of fees . And you’re not building a brand for yourself, so growing your bussiness is hard. Because ain’t no shit know who you are lol
Maybe his advice is a bad advice after all
as you said growing a business must be hard. Appreciate your opinion 👏🏻
His advice is bad
Building an online presence used to make sense when the internet was not so overcrowded with sellers. Today, and I'm not kidding, you have more chance to have your stuff noticed on an high street corner of your middle-sized local town than on a marketplace site.
How much does Amazon usually take?
@@Teedee777Amazon takes points 0.05, per item listed. Or 15% of sales. So if you're doing drop shipping you want to pay item they'll just take the five cents from each item that you sell through the platform. They're all going to take something you get to use their name and honestly they wouldn't have to sell anything just with the five cents that they make off of the millions of things sold by other people that adds fast. However they also Prince books for you you can write a book you can have a description for it on your page you can have the content putting a PDF when someone purchases the book Amazon will print it out either in a paperback or hardback book and then ship it to your customer so you get what you pay for in that sense. I hope this helps and best of all endeavors to you
Im so pleased to see that the comment section passed the test! ❤🎉

Y’all a bunch of shills for Shopify fr
I disagree….. Shopify has been good to me and I’m not even 1 week in….. Amazon is the worst with the fees and all I didn’t make a dime and actually ended up taking a loss before switching to Shopify… Marketing, setting up website, adding products yes it is time consuming but well worth it considering I have traffic already and still not even done with setup and have not been advertising at all!

@@PaulJLipskythere*
You have to advertise no matter what platform you are selling .
Not true
It is true, eBay takes huge fees which means you pay money for each transaction (meaning you pay for marketing)
It depends. If you already have a good social media presence you can move the traffic around. If your social media presence is almost inexistent I doubt even the best ad campaign would help to get you noticed in the crowd.
@@you-4iaI guess in that case at least you know it’s successful advertising instead of you yourself throwing money blindly into advertising if you’re new at it.
You know nothing. You absolutely must build out your own, owned platform, regardless of whether you do eBay, marketplace etc.
You need marketing, building a brand, building traffic and improving SEO. That has nothing to do with Shopify or whatever other CMS you use.
People who know nothing should not be giving advice@@PaulJLipsky
Yeah but amazon and ebay ur not free if they decide to ban u your done i prefere to stay free

I've been doing this long enough to know where most people have success. And it's on marketplaces
Hii what are your thoughts about shopify?
@@PaulJLipsky Why not do both? Most dropshipping suppliers can handle the traffic from both Shopify and Fb Marketplace simultaneously. Also gives you the opportunity to test ads running to both.
@@PaulJLipsky That's never any sort of long term success. With a marketplace, you have ZERO branding. Not scalable at all, just stop pretending to be successful with business if you don't know simple things like this.

I agree there is alot of buyers on ebay however for your items to be seen you most likely either cut pricing way down or use the promoted listing option hence lower profits each way..also due to how easy Ebay makes it for a buyer to return they actually open the door to a lot of scamming unfortunately ...
Thanks for the advice. I tried the Shopify 7 day free trial and it was harder to build that site than my own website. I wasted a day or two setting it up.

Ebay is terrible to sellers..very biased on returns/refunds ..basically a buyer is always right according to them and yes they take a good portion for fees...my opinion Ebay needs to understand who it is that makes them successful...remember you can't have buyers without sellers

This is a very same question I wanted to answer if I can actually do Drop Shipping without Shopify and I'm really torn in between if I should build a store if it's on WordPress or either Google sites and then there's a couple of others would it just be best to just sale on eBay or Amazon it seems like the best option because there is no marketing expense I would think but if I was to build a store I'll use Google sites
Hi Wendy. Doing dropshipping without having a Shopify store is like having products without shop. If you want to get the best result and stop investing without generating any income or revenue. The best option is having a Shopify store for dropshipping business. I will show you some proves if you are willing to. Kindly reply to this message
R can we say is like having a car and not knowing how to drive. And that is when you get a driver because you know the driver knows how to drive a car.

I gave concrete reasons why it's more difficult
If you start e-commerce without shopify, you will most likely fail. I started by not knowing e-commerce at all, not even knowing how to design a web page. Today I have a company with 17 employees and I owe it all to shopify.

How can I like log out or delete shopify account ? Because now I'm just thinking that someone is messaging my parents from my phone and I'm scared
In shopify do you have to pay for ads, or do they let you make your ads for free when you buy it.
You need to pay
What if you already have a brick& mortar store in 2 different locations and always hand out the online business cards with every purchase in those stores? If you already have products that people are buying, then why is this particular platform bad?
This video is talking about dropshipping
Bother me question... I have no idea how to begin. which one is the best business like shopify? Kinda im not very smart.
Try eBay dropshipping!
How to sell without marketing on Amazon from last 3 month there is no sell on my Amazon account
You don't own your customers on Amazon
But many sellers on Shopify don't own any customers either lol
If you have a popular UA-cam channel, you don’t need the ads because you got a lot of fans willing to buy real merch
Yeah I'm not talking about merch though!
Well that can be said when you have any popular social media platform, traffic would automatically move your product.
The fact that it’s difficult is what makes it worth it
I know people love to throw this quote around, but it's not true. Think about it. Is something REALLY worth it just because it's hard? No, of course not. It needs to be difficult AND you need to get results.
????? So when a customer wants to buy something from me off of fb market etc. How do i transfer her funds to mine ?
It's all done through Facebook. They have a payment system
Is there any possible way that I can hire print on demand companies to work for my brand?
As I have thought of opening my website maybe with the help of WordPress or by coding myself ,not on Shopify, etsy or Amazon...a website which I build myself. As it would be easier for people to find my website.
I'm not sure what you mean. You can just upload your designs to Merch by Amazon
Ok so what’s the best way to promote music? I got Shopify vs WordPress.
Music? Idk tbh
Actually Amazon drop shipping is not easy at all😂 Shopify is very easy to set up your website the hardest part is marketing but hey it's 2024 just run some social media adds and or let people with many followers promote a video about your product or website. It's not that hard we don't live in 2001 or something
I don't dropship on Amazon
What is your platform of choice then? You were saying it is more valuable to sell on ebay or Amazon , so I was saying that is not easy at all. I looked at it once upon a time and I remember it had many hurdles. Many rules and regulations.
What about Amazon ppc for Your own listings
I don't dropship on Amazon
Ever try service based side?
I dont completely agree. Social media is a powerful platform to market a business before it opens. Also, setting up an email list to gather potential customers before the shop opens also helps on opening day. Also, as a consumer im not looking to buy items people dropship from Alibaba & Amazon. I look for original handmade products. Many consumers tend to shop handmade over generic made in china products.
Well articulated points! Thanks for sharing!
This actually makes sense, but please whats your advice to those not dropshoppjng.. like a proper small appliance you fulfil and package yourself?

If you sell on a marketplace you still have to do advertising. And if someone says “hey where did you get…”, they’re going to say Amazon, instead of your store name.
