CYCLING JAPAN: Bikepacking in Bear Country Hokkaido

This was the second day of our 4 day bike packing trip around the Shiretoko Peninsula. We started just south of Rausu with the plan of cycling over the pass to the western side where we would have our 3rd night.
We had heard stories of bears the night before and how some other cyclists had a bear encounter. We weren't expecting to to encounter any bears while cycling, but the day held some surprises for us.

@japanrandoneur6464 2000km around Hokkaido. Starting from Hakodate > Lake Toya > Sapporo > wakkanai > Shiretoko Peninsula > Lake Akan > obihiro > Furano > Asahikawa > Furano/biei > Sapporo. It was the time of my life, I can't wait to return
