There went the eletrical wire
That was my absolute, very first thought as I was watching him trying to break off that overhang. So, what's the take away??
It was my thought that he was trying to get all the snow to begin coming down off the top of his roof. That didn't happen. So, then I thought that maybe it didn't slide off because it was still attached to the other side of the roof at the roof apex. Then I thought that he would have to be up on top of the roof, anyway, with some sort of cutting tool, slicing, hacking (machete), his way through to the roof itself, and then record his video as we could have seen the roof clear, all at one time. But without regard, that looked pretty dangerous to me! I wonder if he was surprised to see his wire disappear!? I wonder what utilities he lost??
Yep, you got it and you said it well, but you should have told him, not to us.
Or cable
More likely a telephone line.

The cable guy is smart. He'll probably reinstall that line in the same place. That's job security right there.
Was thinking same same😂

Meh. It's a Black Wire and a Red Wire, how hard can it be? Electricians are overrated.
For reals that Wire is way worth more than the entire house getting collapsed
Better the wire than the roof. Not sure what things cost in his country.
But a sheet of ice can cost a roof thousands and a cable connection is in the hundreds
Remember guys... Never do things like that, without someone filming it. ;)
👍
Seriously, who amongst us living in snow country hasn’t tried to get a heavy snowload off the roof? Most of us use roof rakes and salt pucks. Were he to have fallen off that ladder and ended up UNDER that slab we’d be reading his obituary.
I let mine build up for insulation of my off grid home. When becoming too thick the be safe weight wise, I make a straight line of .38 special blasts from a safe distance, and poof! Ice for the iceboxes!

I honestly didn't even notice the wire, was so focused on the ladder, expecting it to get hit by the ice and the guy to drop...
I had a friend die from doing this this past winter. Unfortunately, he was alone when the snow broke free and buried him. He suffocated under the snow, and they didn’t find him until the next day. Only his boot and arm were sticking out of the snow.
