Dogs don't really do things "just because" ... behavior always gravitates towards rewards (or away from something unpleasant). So something on that counter must have been interesting to your dog at some point in the past ... have they perhaps grabbed e.g. gloves or some other objects that are just fun to play with?
@@spiritdogtraining my dog grabs everything that’s on the counter. He’s grabbed my cell phone, glasses, remote controls, keys, etc. it doesn’t matter if it’s on the counter. It’s fair game. Also on the end table, it’s driving us nuts.
@@jazzyj9075 Does there seem to be a specific pattern or time to your dog doing this? Like before he's had a walk for the day? How old is your dog? What does his regular routine look like?
What about when it’s just whenever for whatever not just for taking food but to just do it
