- In a video released by Kensington Palace, the Princess of Wales gives an update on her cancer treatment, saying she has finished chemotherapy and will take on more royal duties in the months to come.

The video features Prince William and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, with clips of the family together in the countryside. Catherine, 42, was diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer, and announced to the public in March that she was receiving treatment and would step away from her roles in the public eye.

As a cancer survivor myself who lost my husband to cancer, and a great admirer of Princess Catherine- thank you for this gorgeous, personal reminder of what matters.
I'm so sorry for your loss - your husband had a brave wife in you and I'm sure you shared many years of memories that will always be with you.
I also lost 4 close family members to cancer in the last 4 years (2 aunts, grandma and my beloved mother) and I wish it hadn't taken something like this to remind me that no matter how busy life gets and where it takes you, family is irreplaceable and takes precedence over all else in life. What an insightful video from Princess Catherine - a true role model in so many ways.
She had access to the best treatment because of her position.

@@celtictarotreadings333 Wealth or not, early cancer is generally more dangerous than cancer later and therefore the treatments can more draconian. Catherine is too young for a serious cancer.

People discouraging her message are cold hearted and selfish & they do not get to spit bile and take this hope from us.

Lost my dearest friend almost 20 years ago, her children were tiny and she had to arrange childcare etc ( yes the friends' and family's help was there , still) whilst battling the disease. Wishing all the best to Kate.. It's hard but she's entitled to get the best care and do not have to worry about the other little things like childcare, earning money to run a home; pay the bills & mortgage etc.
Well, she wasn't entitled enough to escape the disease. She still had to face the thought of leaving three young children. She still had to go through the hardship of chemotherapy. So happy for Princess Catherine.
@@meg1024-x6y I guess it’s easier to focus on recovery when you don’t have to stress about other things, normal people worry about. That’s a huge relief and also helps a lot with early recovery to an extent.

It’s wonderful she had the best treatment in the best hospitals. When patients on the nhs have their 3 monthly check ups cancelled time and time again and their three monthly check ups and up being once every 9 months. She’s a lovely woman but the treatment she’s received compared to the commoner differs greatly
I have to agree with this. I wish her well but the state of this country and the NHS makes her healthcare out of reach to the average patient. My Dad has passed now but the way he was treated was awful!
