2:44 well yes but actually no. While the Tetris theme is its own song itself, it was actually derived from Korobeiniki, a Russian folk song from the 19th century. Because Tetris is a Russian game, this would make complete sense as to why they used Korobeiniki. Kinda pushes my buttons when its referred as the Tetris theme in itself though, mainly because nobody does any research to figure out the origins of the song and then gets heated when they are proven wrong.
Could be said for most of these meme songs they all have an original name such as coffin dance it’s actually astronomia but they all have their “meme” name Edit: I see what you mean with the Tetris song being derived from korobeiniki but the instrumental Tetris remix is what is used for and since it is the theme of Tetris it is also to what the song is referred to “Tetris theme”

2:44 well yes but actually no. While the Tetris theme is its own song itself, it was actually derived from Korobeiniki, a Russian folk song from the 19th century. Because Tetris is a Russian game, this would make complete sense as to why they used Korobeiniki. Kinda pushes my buttons when its referred as the Tetris theme in itself though, mainly because nobody does any research to figure out the origins of the song and then gets heated when they are proven wrong.
