- Here's a demo of the new LaunchBox Big Box bartop in action! We called Keith up at Monster Arcades and he told us how to fix the bezel in a heartbeat; it just needed re-seated. We also demo the brand new LEDBlinky implementation in the latest betas. :)

Monster Arcades was using GameEx on their demo machines at a gaming show I was at. While it worked well, I didn't really like the interface. It reminded me of some Windows game interface from the mid 90s. I know that Monster said they would ship out the machines with GameEx pre-configured (everything except the ROMS which is fine). I'm hoping they'll start including LaunchBox as an option in the future that is pre-configured and supported meaning everything will work out of the box and all that's needed is loading up the ROMS.
We are looking at the LaunchBox option right now. So maybe we will offer it soon.

Hi just want to if this -> Ultimarc PAC-Drive Output Driver Board , works with blinky? Thanks like most front ends I was wounding if theirs any plans on adding your own intro when big box loads plus is possible for you to copy everything over to other hard drives

Are you booting straight into LaunchBox/Big Box?
I was curious about the GPU in this thing since Monster Arcades lists it using the AMD FX-4130, which doesn't have IGP. What GPU is currently running in it?
I had Keith customize the build a little; I asked for an Intel build and had him leave off the GPU so I could add my own card. So believe it or not it's currently using the on-board Intel graphics (which surprisingly is running Big Box, arcade, NES, SNES, and N64 just fine). :)

Monster took care of that for me; I believe it's an I-Pac.

Make sure you add functionality to change colors for the front end controls in HS u are stuck with the default color.

I don't see why it wouldn't work Layby2k. Do you mean LEDBlinky? I haven't tested it but I do think people are using LEDBlinky and RocketLauncher combined, yes.

If you want good performance for a low cost, get yourself a EVGA GTX 750ti FTW card. they are pretty cheap these days, low thermal temp and power consumption too.
Cool, I was thinking about a GTX 950 though. How's that?
+LaunchBox well, it costs more, pretty sure it has more ram too. it's definitely overkill for a bartop cabinet though.

Hey Jason, I can vouch for the EVGA 750ti FTW as it's the card I got my emulation PC 6 months ago. However if I were to build a new one right now I'd be going for something a little newer. Simply because of how the price of everything last Gen is dropping, now the 10 series cards have been released.
