    The last assumption is coming from an ignorant individual, who think nursing is about care giving...a nurse must know a person from a physiological and anatomical point of view, knowing what is normal, the nurse must be able to identify the causes of abnormalities( microbiology) and Nurses must be able to promote therapy (pharmacology) and Far more rehabilitation(psychology) … How does a Primary Health Nurse Prescribes medication with out a high level of education which involves use of various diagnostic criteria and assessment. How do nurses monitor and accompany a women in labor with low level of education. How do nurses intubate a critically and intensively ill patient with low level of education, how do nurses advocate for patients to doctors about wrong prescription if they don't know pharmacokinetics and dynamics of medication. Nurses require intensive level of research and education because they are mothering all professions in the health care services. It's funny how people undermine Nursing while doing the BSc, OT, PSYCH, Physio, BDiet, BRad etc while we sit in the same fundamental courses assessed the same way and someone has an audacity to say Nursing require low level of education...My view has always been that an entry level of a Professional Nurse should be a honour's degree or equivalent NQF level of 8, anything blow should be a General nurse because nursing goes beyond bed pans and bed making...Take Physiotherapy for example it was a profession put into motion by Nurses, then if s/he says Nurses do not require high level of education how will they develop curriculums because it all starts in the bedside to become an academics. Hopefully your channel will grow in order to address such ignorance and false assumptions made out of illiteracy. IM PROUD OF YOU AND I WAS EXCITED TO SEE A NURSING STUDENT EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT OUR PROFESSION...I WOULD LIKE TO ALSO REQUEST YOU TO ALSO FEATURE SOME NURSING STUDENTS FROM VARIOUS INSTITUTIONS TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES AS NURSING STUDENTS AND ALSO MALE NURSING STUDENTS THERE IN UJ ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES IN MIDWIFERY OBSTRETIC UNITS(MOUs).

      That's true.
      I guess it just depends on how you interpret that assumption, but I understand your point and I understand what the other person meant.
      Ps: it was an assumption from a professional nurse (my second year preceptor)

    For rude nurses i give a tick... i feel they are more rude to student nurses than patients😰😰😰 and totally its not fair. I am a first year student 😪 and i have been exposed to rude nurses😰😰😰😭.

      It's the worst thing ever, so unfair😭 and some make you feel like you're bothering them when you ask them to teach you certain procedures. They expect you to know everything, and forget that you are a student and you are there to learn.
      And then some are just unnecessarily rude to us students and patients💔😩

      I’ll be doing my last year as a nursing student and I must say that I’ve had to learn to stand up for myself.

    Hey sis..I applied nursing at uj,they placed me on a waiting list what does that mean?

    • @thandohadebe
      @thandohadebe  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not so sure, but from what I've heard, it means that they're still considering potential candidates that probably got higher marks, before they get back to you. So it's not a rejection, you still have a chance.

      ROSE NIKELO 😂 it could be yazi, because during menopause there is a change in the level of hormones, so they get irritable easily!

    II lost interest 1 minute 24 seconds into the video. As soon as you said you agreed that MOST are rude. Ok it's your opinion but it's a little far-fetched. I don't know where you train or who is training you but most nurses get by doing their hard work under shitty circumstances not well remunerated and appreciated. And I am talking for MOST. I agree there are many who drag their colleagues down, but to say most is a bit of a stretch.!! Anyway good luck with your career. Not for the faint hearted (or celebrity wanna-be's I can tell you that much.
