Your sincere, genuine, intelligent presentation of these topics is what keeps me coming back again and again. Other channels resort to apparently ‘algorithm-proven’ tactics even just in the names of their videos. But you consistently churn out material that is the perfect way for myself: free of pointless jokes and filler, straightforward, densely-packed minutes on the facts of this fantasy world, reverence-laden nods to materials that influenced what you’re writing about. Please keep going just as you are, for as long as it works for you. I’m thoroughly enjoying your channel!
I’ve been using your videos to introduce my wife to Pathfinder, you’re doing great work! On this video in particular; Norns are so fascinating, even by the standards of the Fey!
Yessss, as someone who loves learning about fey in all settings, and real life myths, and whos main exposer to pathfinder is through Wrath of the Righteous I've always wanted to know more about fey in Pathfinder. Keep making great content my dude!
In my Kingmaker 2e campaign I have been summing a Nuglub in my battles to the point that my DM has named him Tony the toe tickler he has a tendency to eat toes of the foes we kill in battle lol
In the low to mid-levels these are excellent villains for player characters to deal with. Much more dangerous than goblins and almost completely impossible to reason with.
I've been running Kingmaker, with alot more fey involvement (partially to imply someone's existence) and this helps alot. My party has made allies of numerous fey (Tig-titter-tut, the nixie, Tiressia, ect) and mourned having to kill evil fey (and were freaked out by a custom event I made that gave a preview of chapter 6's disasters).
Well, once again I thank you for your perfect timing on coincidentally helping me with some character concepts of mine. The last few days I've been working on a warpriest of the norns who'd use the apocryphal fate spell string of fate. Great video as usual, keep up the good work.
Maybe a video on the Tane in the future but as I have a video on the first world, on the eldest and on the fey already up on the channel that one might be a minute. Too much lore in this game! As for Nyrissa - she is implied! I didn't provide details on named fey characters but that probably would have been worth doing. I'm working on Dragons right now and there are _alot_ of named dragons.
Ah, mites. They were the first random encounter with my current party. My level 1 Paladin crit one that had stabbed him just above the knee. The mite had 3 HP (CR 1/3), and my guy was two-handing a bastard sword. 24 damage later, the mite is vertically split in half, flying over its comrades, and sailing off into the field next to the road to feed the wolves.

20:30 I always thought Nymphs and Dryads were two different species. Much like crocodiles and alligators, or moths and butterflies. Are we sure they're the same thing, or am I thinking of GURPs, DnD and MTG again?
The art in your videos is always excellent, but this one is incredible! Is all this art from various Paizo products or do you have particular sources you get your visuals from?
In this video most of the art is official Paizo art, however in general I use three main sources to collect additional artwork when I need it those being Pinterest, DeviantArt and ArtStation.
@@TheMythkeeper I'll see, since they fit into all fey concepts, metaphysical representations of a folkloric concept (in this case, evil non-human witches) speak what could be the language of evil fey(aklo) and are weak to cold iron, which is something that affects "only" fairies and demons.
Perhaps this is not a Creature feature persay. But I am curious and have asked before but never get any solid answers. What about creatures video similar to say Lady of Pain, The General, Slaad Lords, and such creatures that are maybe not all power but real forces in the Pathfinder multiverse that are not Demons, Devils, gods or such common creatures. I feel while videos about them would be great even in D&D we don't get enough love for some of the more obscure and interesting beings. Perhaps creatures is not the right word but you know.
Stay tuned, I have some videos like those coming up in the not too distant future - kytons, psychopomps, proteans and a bunch of others along those lines.
I was listening to this while half asleep and genuinely thought that you meant that unicorns only like trans men for a solid 10 seconds (the they prefer females to males part)

Yeah I think norns are my favorite of the bunch. Very cool and mysterious - great NPCs.
I love the Norn pictures you used. Who knew there was that much variety in their looks
Have so many questions from my players about the Fey, very excited to be able to answer more of them now!
Hope that you find some of what you're looking for here. Also check out Inner Planes P2 for more details on the First World - link in the description.
@@TheMythkeeper Loved that video as well, really enjoy all of your content, so thank you so much!
@@TheMythkeeper please make a pathfinder creature feature video for all types of Lycanthropes and Werebeasts of please

Have you played in the Kingmaker yet? There is plenty of fey shenenigans in there.

Haha! This is awesome
awesomo work. I inderestimate the potential of adventure hooks than a red cap can give me, it's a great comunal villian
In the low to mid-levels these are excellent villains for player characters to deal with. Much more dangerous than goblins and almost completely impossible to reason with.
I will add to others comments. You do fantastic work. You are great to listen to. I hope Paizo has taken notice of you
Thanks Neal, much appreciated.
Interesting how in D&D Unicorns are a type of celestial while in Pathfinder they're Fey, different interpretations.
Yeah, both ideas kind of make sense.
@@TheMythkeeper And in 3e they were magical beasts.

Awesome! Kingmaker is the ideal AP to give players a big welcome to the fey world.
He's short, has incredible jumping ability, and is very vulnerable without his red hat. Is Mario a red cap?
🤣
Gotta comment for the algorithm! Thank you for this great content!
Thank you!
You are a God amongst men.
😂
You never disappoint. Especially love the creature features, cause they help in world building
Thanks Ritley!

Whoohoo ! Nice work MythKeeper ! I learned something :)
Another great video
Another excellent video, although no Nyrissa in the nymph list? You may be in trouble if she hears about this...

@@TheMythkeeper I see your point! And yes trying to do every named dragon might make the video drag on a bit. :p
@@kintire Haha! Its too late. I didn't do every dragon but about 3-4 / type which means its a loooong video.

That's a Pathfinder thing, not a 'general fantasy lore' thing

Just hear this guy dunking on redcaps for like, 3 minutes straight. "Lanky, greasy dwarves, with gnobby skin..." come on bro.
Haha! I might be overselling, but these things are meant to be scary.
Will you do a deep dive on 1st world?
Check the link in the description. I cover the First World in a little more detail in my Inner Planes videos.
Hags are fey in pathfinder?
Its complicated. I do a whole Hags video here on the channel for that reason.

While I will say most Nymphs are female, there are examples of male Nymphs in Pathfinder. Quest for the Frozen Flame has a male dryad.
