Geekbench is 💩 Why? Because when android came so close in numbers to ios in that app they just updated it and the numbers became way higher on ios than it's on android, what does mean? Especially when the 8 gen 3's early leaked score exceed 6000+ on geekbench 5, heck even geekbench graphics test shows that A16 way faster than 8 gen 2 were in reality we all know 8 gen 2 is faster even the previous snapdragon was faster in 3dmark.

Malaysian here. Im also quite surprise that Vivo decide to release on Malaysia market first, maybe because our market way too saturated by Samsung and Xiaomi in terms of heavy hitters android device (ROG phones and Blackshark too but im not interested on those). We never get the flippy and folding vivos and oppos so its a welcome we got the x90s and the iqoo 11 here first. Im interested in the iqoo 11 more actually. And I really got bored of my z fold 4 haha. I do wish the Global vivos use origin OS though really fancy the looks of it.
It's a weird decision by Vivo to not release the Plus model, must be a long term strategy to start building brand recognition while maximising profits, but doesn't make sense to me. I was heavily waiting to buy the Plus model, but since its not available will pick up my s23 Ultra tomorrow
The equivalent Plus model sold poorly last year (globally), and VIVO surmised that releasing both (Pro and Pro+) would be uneconomical, especially when smartphone sales are expected to drop 20% this year. Remember, they do not sell to the US, one of the biggest markets. These decisions are expected in a global downturn as OEMs fight to survive rather than push the new tech.

I was planning to get the X90 Pro Plus when it's released globally. Now that Vivo is not releasing g this model to the global market and choosing to release the inferior model, it's a deal breaker for me
@Techder Audios thanks for the tip....actually I already own a Chinese version of the X70 Pro Plus and I have to admit I didn't have the best experience despite the fact I was able to install Google play services.

Mediatek and Vivo made a partnership to release globally the dimensity 9200. Unfortunately there's a downgrade on the screen, the ultra wide and no periscope lens. Considering that all the costumer's want the same or better quality and upgrades compared too last year's sensor and screen this decision won't make salles of vivo grow in the global market.
Personally, I'm disappointed that there will be no plus version in Europe. And I was planning to buy it. Now I'm wondering if it makes sense to pay a lot to some of these new models if I have Oppo Find X2 Pro. Is the tech leap worth it or can it wait as my Oppo still works fine.
@@idk-sy3iu it's about 20% slower in both GPU and CPU and is included in much cheaper phones than 8 gen 2. It performs about the same as 8gen+1 which you can find in 300usd phones.

Great video. I personally think there are more than enough downgrades in Vivo X90 Pro compared to Vivo X80 Pro to not consider buying it at least at the price they are selling it at. However, Vivo X90 Pro Plus on the other hand looks like a great device.
I still suggest people to get the X90 Pro Plus, I'm using it right now with Google service and it's great, I swapped from Samsung, the moment of having 30mins to 100% battery, you just feel Samsung is actually not that great 👍

Usual comments not made in this video. Does the smartphone "rock" when on a flat surface? The bulge in the main camera is off center. This uneven surface can be avoided with the usual phone case, or an additional phone case.

The problem with the Pro model in Malaysia is overpriced. The brand in Malaysia is preferring to handout free vivo X90 Pro to "ambassador" (some of them are business owners and not content creators) that couldn't sell nor market the phone and drive up the cost of ownership for the smartphone. Plus, being a flagship smartphone, I have never understood why they can't take 4K selfie video. I can only say it is not wise to get the X90 Pro in Malaysia.
They should've go for 3x optical than the 2x .. 2x optical just doesn't seem to be useful as the Wide lens already have a massive 1 inch 50MP which offers a lossless 2x digital zoom ..
Vivo's global strategy doesn't make any sense to me. Apart from the 1" main camera this device is a downgrade in every aspect compared to the X80 Pro. I'm not sure a lot of people will get this, especially considering that it looks like it will be priced even higher than last year.
I have the global x60 pro. I love the camera. But the software is so dang buggy across multiple apps, even after after multiple software updates. I want to upgrade in hopes the software is better.

This is used by professional photographers for "portrait" of individual persons. "Normal" forces too small an image, and too much inclusion of the surroundings.
What's the next best option now under 900 USD? I don't have budget for S23 ultra This is downgrade from last year Vivo x80 pro and even has 9200 and tad bit expensive
although MTK's new D9200 is impressive, I was really hoping that the global version of this phone would also launch with the superior SD8 G2 chip, which has overall better performance, especially in long term sustained performance/stability. good to see MTK is coming with something competitive this year though.

I would say that for what you get under the hood hardware wise it's probably the best bang for your buck and makes very little in the way of compromises to get to that price point.

I think you got to understand you can't compare Vivo x80 pro with x90 pro. X80 pro was actually supposed to be x80 pro+ and x90 pro is actually what x80 was. I think Vivo at this point is totally confused with their flagship naming and pricing scheme

Honestly at the price, I rather buy an iPhone without even think twice. The iPhone has better display and the camera is so good. I'm been using android for most of my life, and I dare to say no phone even come close to iPhone video recording.

900 USD for a cheap mediatek processor and a last gen E5 display. Don't waste your money bro. Go for Samsung, Apple or Xiaomi instead.

I think you got to understand you can't compare Vivo x80 pro with x90 pro. X80 pro was actually supposed to be x80 pro+ and x90 pro is actually what x80 was. I think Vivo at this point is totally confused with their flagship naming and pricing scheme

Honestly at the price, I rather buy an iPhone without even think twice. The iPhone has better display and the camera is so good. I'm been using android for most of my life, and I dare to say no phone even come close to iPhone video recording.
