That's crazy from spending R2300 on taxis to go to work, and now spending less than R200 a month to go to work. We must protect our rail infrastructure by all means, Prasa must invests in drones and more security guards. Thanx for the train videos🙏

YOU GUYS are Right JOBURG is Making A Comeback!! The City is Determined to Succeed!! Only the Envious are ANGRY .Even PRASA is Fighting BACK to Claim it's Rightful Position as the LEADER of Modern and Sophisticated Commuter Passenger RAIL in AFRICA. Now Maintenance and SECURITY should REIGN SUPREME. Good Job GUYS.👍🏽👌🏻
@Livinginsatv Sorry to bombard you with questions, but I was just wondering what the cost of living in Joburg is in general, i.e., food, rent, etc? I'm currently living in NZ, and it's insanely expensive here. My family and I won't to move overseas in the next year and are considering all of our options - SA being one of them
34:45 It's a great feeling to have, that the train services (which are a lifeline to our countries infrastructure) were renewed with the future generations in mind! 👍
Great video. I know that they recently re-opened Ellis Park station for a rugby match - not sure when it will open permanently though. Trains work well for big stadium events - moving more people quickly than any other transport method. Overseas there are stations that only open on match days - but we need Prasa to open more stations permanently. It is a little confusing that they have a map of the northern section on a train that only operates on the southern section.
I'm so grateful that you are showcasing Joburg's wonders brotha. What an incredible city! I cant wait to visit. By the way, where are you from? I detect an Eastern European accent
I want to know if its only South Africans who have no problem sharing everything even lipbalms😂 if you open a lip balm in public you are in trouble everyone will ask for it
There should be more, maybe I might be biased as a South African, but I just can't be the only one with dry lips - when someone has the solution. Help your dry lip brother in need 😁
I'm impressed at the strides made PRASA but the public needs to keep the pressure on them to continue this rate of improvement. The reality is that commuter rail infrastructure in this country pales in comparison to those in similar sized economies. For the first time I actually believe that this state organ just might be capable of lifting its standards.
this is cool , the top of your web site needs a map of SA and pins on it that link to your different vids and articles in each part of the country they relate to. The only problem is the trains were discarded and unmaintained for so long we dont know if the maintenance of the tracks and trains will keep from now and not endanger lives, they need to publish some video or keep a maintenance rosta sheet up at the stops to show the last date checks were done . I more worried about the tracks then anything , since people love to steal steel in this country and dump dangerous garbage were they please .
The trains are nice but still praying for these new infrastructure to last I hope so Couse our country south Africa is in the top 20 list of countries that destroy their infrastructure
The trains are currently doing 30KM/h because the rail infrastructure isn't completely fully operational so because PRASA sees the demand they've opted to bring back the trains after everything was stolen at a limited run once everything goes back to normal they'll increase the speed and improve the infrastructure
